    Moe Bucks

I think this is a waste of our surplus throwing $500 back to the population who will probably dump it in the casino.

$400M could have been put to better use. Like a couple hospitals and a downpmt on a nuke plant.

    If people believe the media
Some are very poor and struggling.
So the 500 per person will really help them.
But yes other places could have been a better use.
My tic off the the lack of highway ditch mowing to the point that a hydro AXE is now required..
When asked our local MLA last yr he told me "Don't tell me my job"..
    We have no money..

400 Mil could have MOWED all ditch right of ways. Plus fixed the dangerous ROUGH RR crossings on highways. Maybe tick off fuel taxes till STUPID prices are at a buck!

Now pay f'ing Canada Post, civil servants plus printers millions to get cheques out! WTF?

If people are really genuinely struggling, and I have no doubt that they are. And perhaps the best way to distribute the money to make sure it actually helps where it would be most necessary, would be to subsidize healthy food at the grocery store, across the board. That ensures no one spends it on drugs and alcohol and gambling and toys.

But I doubt that would buy any votes. Too much out of sight out of mind as compared to cash directly in your pocket from the government.

Sask is projected to lead gdp growth for the next 2 yrs @ 7.4%. AB is next at 4.9%.

Seems to be some prosperity coming to the provincial coffers.

Take the PST off of insurance, children’s clothes, restaurant meals, used cars. These were put on to help the government in bad times, nows the good times…….

                  Not well targeted.
                  Not the best option.

                  Politically brilliant.

Put the surplus into healthcare, education and supporting the lowest income residents who need it most and it will be paid back several times in better outcomes.

You know that Trudeau gets criticized for doing the same thing?

Trying to think of the last time trudeau gave every adult some of their own money back without having to pass some wokeism test.

But I know what you mean.
