Everyone was critical of the carbon capture scheme is Saskatchewan but consider now with everyone going full retard getting rid of coal and switching to lng and uneconomic and unreliable renewables the pendulum will swing back to clean coal with carbon capture. People are so dumb and need to starve and freeze before they realize there needs to be a balanced basket of energy sources to maintain civilization. Renewable and non renewable. Way it’s going we’ll be burning Buffalo turds and digging spuds with a pitchfork and snaring gophers for food. LNG is fine but you know the decline rate of fields as demand increases. Clean up coal, use the captured carbon for secondary recovery on oil and gas wells, seriously work to build more hydro dams, improve the grid for electric vehicles, modernize and further automate domestic manufacturing so we don’t deal with dirty polluters like China, adopt more renewables as they improve, build more nuclear power plants, genetically engineer bacteria to fix the nitrogen needs of crops, close up and recycle nutrient cycles like phosphate ie sewage. I think the environmental crowd has lost sight of the actual need and benefit of energy conservation and pollution reduction. They’re hopped on carbon and climate change because it’s easy to sell and fear the masses. Ultimately, conservation of our resources and consuming less crap ensure we don’t prolong governments and countries which don’t share our values and try to put us under their thumb. Sure balance of trade and comparative advantages blah blah, but we made out fine before certain nations created these artificial advantages through cheap labour and lower standards, and government controls. Double edge sword cause they buy our commodities but big picture long game this could be irrelevant maybe. Globalists are the biggest hypocrites as they preach environmental schemes but have no problem with letting certain countries pollute and get away with stuff we wouldn’t think of here. When the elephant in the room ages out it will be a necessity we repatriate our industry if we want any goods.

I hate the fear we hear all the time so I try to think of positive and plausible means to reducing our footprint while ensuring we don’t suffer like I fear will happen if we let the radicals win. The bad actors will suffer if we don’t deal with them. Our dollars keep them going.

The RofC right now couldn't care less about the job losses, the economic devastation, the destruction of capital, the stress of families, and the suicides in Western Canada,,, why would I care anything about what happens to them.

The mood in this part of rural Ontario is pretty subdued since Monday night. People are not surprised that the mental midget Sock Puppet is back in. Just sad and disillusioned.

The breakdowns in society are so numerous, and the consequences of civil, moral and ethical failure so ugly and shocking that it's mind-numbing. People are quite numb to the ugly realities we see.

But when the question is asked: "What will it take to turn it around?" - the conversation stops.

The political assemblage is meaningless. The legal system is practically defunct, a sham. Rule of Law - what's that, but an inconvenience for asinine dictators??

For a very long time it's been my view that the only thing that can bring the minds of the masses back to rationality is a good dose of hard times.

But what civilized man, woman or child wants to be in the middle of that mess? How sick is it when the destruction of a malignant and metastasizing culture is less harmful than its continued existence?

Natural gas is a double whammy, the price of natural gas has more than doubled since last year, add on Justin Trudeau’s carbon tax which increased 33% in April and it will be felt in Canadians pocket book this winter. Likely that electricity costs will rise as well as so much generation has been converted to natural gas. Going to be some very unhappy Canadians this winter.
