Ugly timing for the taps to open up. Not good news for the cereals that just started coming off. Yield is disappointing now quality will be too. 😕

I knew that the weather would get an abrupt change come fall. That always happens in Canada.

The only thing left is an early frost...and that would be ok..

Need rains for recharge . Cereals are done. Canola will be hammered again since everyone is straight cutting so ripe canola will be beat up by rain and wind. Soy turning and rain probably won't help much.

-0.8 last night. Didn’t last long. Maybe an hour. No frost on vehicles or anything. Hopefully didn’t do much damage.

Official EC station closest to me was 0.1C at 6am. No frost here and very wet.

It would be completely normal for here if it now got wet, just as crops are getting close.

                    It’s just what happens.

Barley needs a bit of time yet! Was happy I ended up having a bit of drill trouble this spring when the sun was cooking the early crops. But now might get a frost on the tail end.
