    Heavy Snowfall Warning!

    Just wanted to send a "Heads Up" to everyone. This weather has been forecast for northeastern B.C. tonight and tomorrow. Break out your longjohns!


    Heavy snowfall warning in effect.
    Tonight .. Snow at times heavy. Amount 10 to 15 centimetre. Fog patches. Wind north 40 km/h diminishing to 20 overnight. Low minus 1.
    Wednesday .. Snow at times heavy changing to periods of wet snow or rain showers in the afternoon. Snowfall amount 5 centimetre. Fog patches. Wind northeast 20 km/h. High plus 3.
    Thursday .. Periods of rain. Low 3. High 9.
    Friday .. Cloudy. 60 percent chance of flurries or rain showers. Low zero. High 10.
    Saturday .. Sunny. Low 1. High 13.

    Normals for the period .. Low 5. High 16

    Supposed to snow in the Edmonton/Edson area of AB today, zero tonight, and then showers the rest of the week !
    It is chilly this morning and it rained in the night but no sign of frost this AM. Dug out the winter chore coat yesterday !!!!

      We've gotten close to six inches of the blasted stuff so far and it's still coming down like crazy.

      Should be some fun driving on the back roads today...

      I expect that Grande Prairie is getting this by now, so you folks around Whitecourt, etc should be seeing this lovely junk real soon.

        Hope you guys aren't getting too snowed in. We may not be forecast for snow, but it sure feels like it could snow down here in Central Alberta.

          4" of wet snow on the ground in west central AB this morning. The power was off here for two hours in the night..so the wood heater came in handy.

            Hang in there. It's still coming down up here in the north, so I imagine you'll see more of it as well.
