If you have access to a wrapper bale it and wrap it and I bet it would be nice feed. Stock eat it really well, that's the first thing the sheep eat when they are in a new pasture.

FYI you can also pick it and eat it. My neighbor fed me a dandelion salad so next time she came to our place I served her a lambs quarter salad as payback. It tastes just like spinach. I think people eat the seed an roots also but we just had leaves. Reply With Quote

No I'm sure it would dry down ok and might work ok as feed, just thinking those stalks might not be so palatable once dry and hard. When its silage it all smells and tastes the same so they don't sort it out and waste as much plus the bonus of killing the weed seeds.

That plant is pretty tall considering the year, you get a good catch on the alfalfa?

Jul 31, 2021 | 21:06 5 The alfalfa is getting pretty choked out and is maybe 6-8”, under the outstanding weed canopy. Decided to break out the Schulte to knock them back. Was a big job. Reply With Quote
