If you do the math on the 4 billion dollar Irrigation scam...

Over 25 years principle payments are 160 million per year.

Interest at 2 percent runs 80 million...

Additional costs ...who knows.

In 30 years they hand it over to the 300 farmers for a buck and continue to subsidize it at 16 million a year ( 40 bucks on 400000 acres )

What I can't figure out is farm groups like SARM, APAS, Cattlemen Associations support this scam and yet can not get SFA for the average farmer in the current crisis..

RAy Orb supports the 4 billion scam, thinks there will be vegetables grown here. I heard that 30 years ago and out of 100,000 acres only about 400 acres of vegetables are grown ....check it out on ICDC crop survey for the last 6 years.

He actually said there isn't much sense growing hay...yes well ... tell that to 10000 ranchers selling their herds because the government funded existing projects won't help out ranchers...dryland farmers are expected to help out ranchers not the elitist irrigation farmers.


Alll the saskparty is doing is dividing the provinces farmers and ranchers so they do not have to do anything..

I see the provinces asking the federal government for help but it wouldn't matter if there was a conservative government ....help wouldn't come...They are the ones that gutted farm support..they don't care either and their silence speaks volumes on how little they care.

Our Ag minister stated publicly they were there for farmers
Then in the same sentence said they couldn’t
Afford even a proposed increase to the useless
Agristability program which still wouldn’t pay anything
At all meaningfull even if topped up.

What he should be saying and understanding
Is that this province cannot afford not to do this
And I don’t mean agristability it’s a fuukn dud that
