    Agri Recovery

I have never heard of this but apparently there is such a thing. Meant to cover losses beyond existing programs in extraordinary disasters.

Yup and if they were maybe just a little quicker with some announcements and paying something out,,, farmers and ranchers wouldn't be taking the shitkicking thats coming with the delays.

So no one saw this coming with all the hi tech yield predictors? Where are the high price crop consultants. They should have been all over it.

I sort of seen it coming, I seeded a couple hundred acres of oats for feed just in case...that didn't turn out very well compared to last year.

Was careful with my input costs given how dry it was...but in the end it didn't matter...the crop is phucked..

          Enlightening and comforting....sarcasm.

If it was working ...announcements would have been made already.

Provincial governments need to initiate the need
For this program. Our provincial government the sask
Party will not due to the fact they do not want to add their
Share of this program. The feds have asked repeatedly
If there is a need the province has ignored the request.
            This is fact.
Our provincial minister should be forced to resign
Due to the failed response to such a large disaster that
Will destroy many farms due to the ineffective crop insurance
Non existent except for crooks agristability program and
The absolute joke of allowing 14 bushels of barley to be written off
Way too late and is there even a swath baleable
From a fried by drought half a foot tall barley crop???
They should be writing off 25 bushel crops to allow
Something decent to be salvaged. There should be an acreage
Payment made immediately through the recovery program
But that would be smart since it would bring federal dollars
To our province. Since we all complain about how much
We send out of here. Too bad we re so smart not to
            Figure that out.

Once again the farmers party has showed their colours.

Beyond dry! Crops are a wipeout water is short
For livestock and everyone else even just for living
                In many cases.
There are a few fields of oats and barley in the area
that could Have been baled earlier but aren’t written
off were appraised at 20 to 30 so were left.
So are now just baking and deteriorating to zero
                Anyway. I don’t get it.

Well I left after the kid I mentioned quite a while
Ago with COVID and then complications passed
On due to complications. I honestly couldn’t stand
Comments on here when thinking of that family I was
Embarrassed as a farmer on a farmer forum that certain
Comments were being made. So disrespectful to those
That have lost people. I respect everyone’s
Opinion on that issue because there are many different
Ones and many unknowns. But it has gone too far on here.
The conspiracy theories are beyond bananas.

I wasn’t going to post anything but this drought issue
Is beyond important as to the effect it will have on families
Communities and the province I think too many are oblivious
To that fact. We’ve carried the province as an industry and its
Time for something back. Overdue to get the ball rolling
On helping fellow farms out through this thing.

US farmers get cash in a crisis, Canadian ones get framework.
