The same was seen here in Ontario.

So far this spring, we have had more people from the big cities drive here for various goods than ever before. And not for essentials, "And that's all I'll say about that..."

I had to pick up parts in the city yesterday and the traffic was the heaviest I've seen in a year - first day of "Stage 1".

Hwy 401, Kitchener to Cambridge, 8 and 12 lanes, very heavy traffic and moving fast.

Went into a Canadian Tire Store and it was a zoo.

Social distancing? Evident on the signs only.

Limited capacity numbers? Well, Pastor Coates just needs to put shelves in between the pews, plop a few cheap Chinese tools on them and he's in business.

And maybe offer a bit of pot, or safe injection services - they'll leave him alone.

Lockdowns will be very hard to enforce until they figure out how to throw a new super scare into the people.

Well you gotta admit, it was pretty damned effective with the Chinese virus.

Who knows what devilish plan they will contrive for the next one?

The fact of the matter is there are just too many people on the planet for us to not have an impact, yet our idiot wants to bring more.

All the money being spent would be wisely done so by buying smaller family sizes around the globe. Make the people comfortable with 2 or less kids instead of thinking they need more for their security. A planet with half of today’s population could all live to a higher standard and have less of an impact. Fossil fuels could still remain as part of our energy needs.

Humans want their cake and eat it too, so to speak. They will not understand you can have 10 billion living like paupers or 3-4 billion, maybe less, enjoying a clean world with creature comforts. The world is simply not limitless.

Nature will somehow balance our numbers if we aren’t smart enough to do it ourselves and it won’t be pretty, nature makes for some wild swings at times, we’ve been swinging one way for too long.

Here’s the thing. The time between 10 billion and 3 to 4 billion is a couple generations at least. In that time most of the wealth in the world is destroyed. Only one in three homes are needed, the others abandoned. The populations that grow below replacement collapse under the weight of the care of the elderly. Suddenly one person in the work force must pay the way for more than one retired or elderly. Guess what happens to taxes. Guess what happens to demand for products especially ag products. As there are less people eating this year than last. The world will be clean as everyone goes back to bartering.

Not a pretty scenario.
