The sprayers must be stopped this morning, judging by the Environment Canada satellite.

Carman Mb. had 55mm in 15 minutes.

They really needed rain in that area, to bad it all came so hard and fast.

Yes the wind got up here for a few minutes. Between yesterday and today about 8/10”. Even the last few general rains have varied so much within 1/2 mile.

June promises to be rainy. It's a pity that each region has a different level of precipitation.

Just got another 15 mm which is greatly needed. Gives a few yearlings a go to pasture pass today. Maybe reseed a patch of canola if moisture is enough to get rid of dry sand in middle. June will be done in a blink of an eye time keeps moving faster it seems.

How are your hay crops? Hopefully they get going after the rain.

Use to cut hay in the middle of June and the crops were fantastic.

Hay crops don't look too good and I think some guys might cut early anyway and hope more rain will bring a better second cut. I picked up some millet seed yesterday morning and the guy was quite busy selling and loading trucks.

Looks like the rain is winding down now in this area and looks like we have about 6 tenths.
Could have used a little more but this is good. The crop will get a drink and we can go back spraying without making a mess with ruts.

Only got a 1/4” on Tuesday and that’s all since May 18. The older pastures come up to your shoelaces and the newer ones are just over your ankles. Not real desperate yet but definitely far from ideal. Showing a chance of showers next week………… hopefully it comes through better than advertised. 🍀

Congrats to everyone who won on the latest rain lotto🍻

We are no longer in the drought stage anymore with 1.8” since yesterday bringing us to almost 4” since April 1st. Nice slow rain, most of it should soak in with little pooling. Not quite the lotto Max but it sure helps.
