If the vacksheen doesn't protect you from contracting covid and does not allow for the reopening of society, then we must ask. What is the purpose of the vacksheen and the endless booster vacksheens?

      So Manitoba is 41% vaccinated, https://www.gov.mb.ca/covid19/vaccine/reports.html https://www.gov.mb.ca/covid19/vaccine/reports.html
      Almost totally locked down again.

      North Dakota is 39% vaccinated, https://usafacts.org/visualizations/covid-vaccine-tracker-states/state/north-dakota https://usafacts.org/visualizations/covid-vaccine-tracker-states/state/north-dakota
      Almost completely open.

So, they work in North Dakota but not in Manitoba?

31% of ND had two shots and close to 0% in MB would be the big difference.

The lockdowns are outrageous but the vaccination rates aren’t close.

Well let's look at the most vaccinated region on the planet. Covid cases are exploding. Click image for larger version

So you are saying it only takes 31% of over 18 to get fully vaccinated for it to be "safe" to re-open?

Or have the goal posts have moved from "just get whatever injection you are eligible for" to "it doesn't work until you get the second shot, which instead of 21 days like the mfg instructs to maybe 4 months or whenever it becomes available or just whatever brand you can get"?

Just someone please explain it to me.

Well then we will be good to go sooner than we think and the rest of us can hesitate till 2023.

USA Vaxes slowing, half or so saying... Na, I'm good.

Wife and I got the first shot on Friday and we will see meantime finish wheat today and hopefully live long enough to harvest $10 wheat in the fall. Didn't turn air on in tractor yesterday even though it was sunny, cold NE wind all day .

The much vaunted "Canadian exceptionalism" is starting to look awfully drab.

If the manufacturer of the vaccine says you need the second shot within 21 days of the first, then it certainly doesn't sound credible when the provincial and federal authorities brush that off to cover up for the fact that their handling of the vaccine rollout was stunningly inept.

IF you want it and aren't guaranteed the correct time between shots, WHY are you taking one?

Sask has almost 50% of the population with one dose. We have the highest vaccination rates in the country.
They are dangling the carrot of a half assed reopening 3 months from now. I can just bet that will be taken away at the last moment even after all of us get the jab. And no mention if masks are going to still be needed.

3 provinces started more lockdowns today. WTAF? either the vaccine works or it doesnt.

Notice how the vaccination programs was supposed to be for the most vulnerable 60+ crowd, now they slowly drop the age every day until its now 18 and up? Slippery slope goal posts again.

Next will be pushing it on little kids and babies.
