And Regina was supposed to be a smoking crater of death by now - one or 2 deaths a day for over 6 weeks now, cases fall by a third today. Variants of concern fizzle out. Province opening up. Reply With Quote

"Seychelles, which has fully vaccinated more of its population against Covid-19 than any other country, has closed schools and canceled sporting activities for two weeks as infections surge."

So do we listen to the experts, or is this "fake news"?

One thing for certain, it doesn't fit the narrative.

Hey wait - what's this? A doctor said that if her sister took the AZ jabberwocky and died from thrombosis, she couldn't live with herself? Reply With Quote

Do you have any comment on how cases have greatly dropped of in The US, UK, Israel, etc after vaccinations went beyond the 50% mark? Or is this Country with a population smaller than the city of Red Deer the most relevant place to draw conclusions from Reply With Quote

Cases dropped last spring too when we didnt have any treatments. Thats the usual trend with respiratory diseases.

The tell tale sign will come in October if cases stay down. Reply With Quote

Agree, if seasonal, less cases (if cycles are reduced) will be touted as THE VAX works. We are at 65% will be the news, push the hesitant! And those numbers can be "adjusted" for a narrative. Even deaths could be CORRECTLY labelled to reduce numbers, credit VAXES. But if cases/hospitalizations would even happen later, then what? Time will tell.

In this case "he who hesitates might not be lost".

and now the real truth comes out - the surge is traced back to Seychelles allowing tourism to start back up. Unvaccinated tourists have been the source of many cases Reply With Quote

So the other 35% are tourists, it’s hard to imagine 370 tourist got there with Covid, being tested before getting there, must have been infected by locals in a country with high vaccination levels seems a bit odd, no?

Fair point... but remember this is a tiny island nation, in which most of the population is concentrated in a small area. A few infected tourists with the shiny new variants can run the number up pretty quick. Granted, 40% unvaccinated is still to many to keep things like this from happening. The article I read also inferred the vaccine used here was an astra Zeneca spinoff that wasn’t as affective as others, which is more concerning to me than this surge in cases. If third world countries are using infuror vaccines we are all in trouble Reply With Quote
