'Unhinged conspiracy theorists': Kenney condemns actions and claims of some pandemic protest participants

    Stephanie Thomas
    CTV News Calgary Video Journalist

CALGARY -- Premier Jason Kenney is speaking out over the claims and actions of participants in recent rallies and protests that he says go too far and are "unhinged."

An estimated crowd of 750 people protested near the legislature on Monday where chants of "just say not to vaccines" rang out as well as calls to "lock her up" aimed at Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw.

Politicians from out of province added their voices to the protest outside the legislature including Maxime Bernier, leader of the People's Part of Canada.

Derek Sloan, an Ontario MP, showed up at a gathering outside the GraceLife church near Edmonton that had been closed by Alberta Health Services and blocked by RCMP for repeated public health violations.

Kenney responded to these clusters of protests Monday, saying it's clear that many involved are "unhinged conspiracy theorists."

He also condemned the actions of a protestor near the GraceLife site who hurled racial slurs at an Indigenous woman from nearby Enoch Reserve and the vandalizing of a vehicle belonging to the Enoch chief.

Looks like Kenney is not afraid to say what the vast majority of people think about the "unhinged proestors" in Alberta.

Derek Sloan and Maxime Bernier both failed politicians showed up just to prove how fringe the unhinged fringe are.

Doug Ford calls them yahoos and Kenney calls them unhinged. Ford and Kenney, neither are afraid to call a spade a spade. Refreshing.

If this thread makes you angry you are probably one of the "unhinged".

That's quite a list of vax ingredients. Interesting how they had to include "genetically modified" ingredients. That's real bait to snag the loons (not birds).

Your choice of message conveyance is BS.

That is mostly a fake decision process as to why that cartoon girl took the vaccine, willingly. It certainly wasn't because she exercised, or that she didn't smoke. Those had no place in the message. It has a point (like the needle) that those who would not put a GMO food into their gut, one would suspect would have the same chemical concerns about a vaccine into their deltoid. To represent the first about food, and take the vaccine would represents a true hypocrite.

A smoking, couch potato of a girl with a plateful of GMO labeled food who refused the vaccine with the caption, "that's not going into my body" would be just as ridiculous a cartoon to present a message. That is what is wrong with cc., and the cult objectors on here. Your messages are far from consistent.

                Speaking of unhinged,
What a roller coaster on the grain markets the last few days. Bean oil up as much as $2 at one point today. Canola well into the green.

Sadly, Kenny is just another globalist ****. Just can't understand why politicians running under the conservative banner always feel the need to alienate their base, but they do every time. I did vote for Kenny, primarily to get rid of Notely, but will not be again. He had his chance. For the record, it is sensible at this point to be looking for more information on the unproven vaccines.

The newest conspiracy theory for me is to beware of those who deny every single conspiracy theory. While some theories might be out there, there are some that likely have a bit or a lot of truth to them. I fear there are conspirators that hope they apply the cancel culture to conspiracy theorists and keep their malicious activities hidden.

So beware Soros, Clinton, and Trudeau. We're still watching.

Justin Trudeau defends his government's poor vaccine rollout by saying vaccines aren't enough to end mask mandates and social distancing restrictions. Then, um, what's the point?
