Why is Covid political?

After all Covid hits both the left and right.

In January a group of posters on here were screaming that Trudeau blew the Covid response because of his
-betting on Chinese vaccine
-not approving other vaccines fast enough
-not getting vaccines delivered fast enough
etc

Now that Canada is regularly receiving vaccines, those same posters say they will not take the vaccines if available because:
-not enough testing
-too fast approvals
-not safe
etc.

Those posters cheered Trump's warp speed that speeded up research, testing, approval and delivery mechanisms but now that Trump is gone they post memes that question the speed that vaccines were developed and tested.

They claim Canada did not shut down air and border travel soon enough or completely, yet complain now they cannot travel. Now they do not want their province, area, or town shut down because of very few cases. The shutdowns are to prevent spread to an area be it Canada last spring or your RM now

Seriously, when your arguments change on the basis of political bashing rather than impact on covid, do you really think anyone takes your arguments seriously?

BTW, for those of you who continue to blame Trudeau for the slow vaccination success in Canada due to lack of vaccine procurement, lack of vaccine manufacturing etc, here is an interesting article today on the Russian experience. Russia was the first country to approve a vaccine (Sputnik V) back in August and was the first to roll out mass distribution of that vaccine in December. Yet they have vaccinated a lower percentage of their population than Canada has and cannot meet demand so has turned to South Korea and India to import the vaccine they developed for their own needs.

Could it have anything to do with the following:

The same people who have been pushing the catastrophic global warming agenda for years merged seemlessly into the pro Covid camp. These are not the spokespeople you want on your side if you want people to "believe" you. After crying wolf for decades they have no credibility left. They should have stayed out of this debate. This automatically threw up red flags for anyone not aligned with them politically. This site is a perfect example. If the "lefties" on Agriville wanted to have credibility on Covid, the vry first thing they should have done was start a new account that isn't yet tainted with global warming, anti Trump, new world order etc. Same with journalists, politicians etc.

UN, governments, environmental lobbies and other organizations should never have tried to hitch their great reset/GND/socialism cart to the covid horse. That is the ultimate politicization of the issue, and the dividing lines are very clear.



If you wanted to keep it non political, then stick with the medical science, don't confuse people by entagling the two completely separate issues. If you wonder why people are looking for conspiracies, I can think of no better way to fuel that fire than what has happened here.

It’s obvious to common sense people. It is unseeable by those without common sense. So it becomes political because the followers and liberalism worshippers automatically disregard the rest of us, regardless how much sense we make. It actually comes down to good vs. evil.

Just like the global warming farce, transgenderism, abortion, and a host of other right and wrong, black and white issues that the left (evil), are pushing these days. Leftists basically shun the idea of evil. They think evil is good, and good is evil.

Yet another study, this one from the cdc, says mask wearing decreases spread of Covid, by a whopping 0.7 per cent. But the EVIL msm, refuse to report on that, because they are complicit with the EVIL leaders.

Once the measures to deal with Covid came to involve effective house arrest for much of the population and the forcible closure of vast numbers of businesses, of course the issue became political. It's completely understandable for a business owner to be angry when he is being pushed into bankruptcy.

Taxpayers should rightly be livid when provincial and federal borrowing skyrocket as a result. Someone has to pay all those bills, but it's rarely a topic of conversation in the mainstream media.

Watch Stephen King's The Stand. You will recognize EVIL in today's world economics, situation. The "messiah's" are liberal gods, quite the opposite of GOOD. The end indicated the EVIL can't be eradicated. Sorry.

As dml rightly points out, the flip flopping of the detractors according to the latest political winds hasn't helped their cause.
Unfortunately in the era of social media, all of those comments and wild prognostications are recorded forever on the www.
Some sober second thought before posting might also involve reading through our own Old posts to avoid contradicting one's self. And considering the permanency of the posts.
