    Friday C o c k t a i l report and other useless stuff. Its Friday let's have fun.

I agree we need to start having some fun. This Covid thing is ****ed already. But after listening to the news and Ontario is in lockdown. Quebec has no going out after 8 and BC wants to close the border to Canadians from the East. What will my neighbor do next for Saskatchewan. Will he do an 8 o'clock get off the streets and end sports and public gatherings. Costco will get shut down I don't know.

But one thing I do know is Trudeau and the Liberals screwed up on the vaccine file and they should have to wear that. CBC and all the MSM has to start calling a lazy little useless twit what he really is a ****ing moron and the whole liberal cabinet included. Promising a countries population that you bought and secured supply of 80 million doses or more but forgot the small print it won't get here till maybe 2022. If you take what has arrived so far and go and try to give Canadians the dose at this rate you will need 675 days to inoculate everyone.

This is the Federal gov fault call a Spade a spade. To those who can't see who it is he is the one wearing a black face.

The weather in Saskatchewan is always fun and well this week we saw how crazy it can get. An Alberta clipper came roaring through and she started with rain then the second wave hit with snow and finally hurricane winds some places as high as 130km. That's batten down the hatches wind like we have in Florida. The damage was done and some lost large sheds to a farmer elevator both bins outside Regina. Fences in the city and trees and garbage containers.

Nope, it's not climate change but a good old Saskatchewan storm. It would have been the Saskatoon crop production farm show week and guess what in my lifetime I have attended and awful storms have hit. Read the history and yes storms have hit with just as much force and more snow.

Speaking of history why isn't it taught to all new Canadians as part of them becoming Canadian. They then might understand why some hate the Trudeaus, How Canada was built and how we are as people. Also, it should be mandatory for grade 12 and university graduates to take a Canadian history course. Not taught by a stupid liberal prof.

Now we need a code of ethics for farmers. Sit in one of these if you can. I signed up and was called spam. R a great setup. But I have one big question.

Look at who sits on this. Why the **** is DU included. I know one guy who owns more land than ducks unlimited and he doesn't sit on this committee. Who is pushing this agenda and where was it just a few weeks ago not a peep.

Our Ag groups are meeting in the Zoom world this last week and lots are now starting to ask for stuff, that some on here have been bitching about for years. Some wonder who reads what goes on here I'm telling you lots. Farmers can make changes if they push back. We for too long have just done nothing and went with the flow and where did it get us. Nothing but a shit show. So yea bitching helps. Also pulling funding from the said farm groups hits them where it hurts. Oh, the pea checkoff we still can't get back and that pisses me off as this group isn't listening to any farmer. I probably have done more research on our farm and other farms in our area on Aphanomyces and Fusarium with Guelph university. Come on we have a problem with peas and it's getting worse, not better. If you seed every 8 years how many have acreage to cover that.

The USA is a shit show and America is divided real badly. I don't see Creepy Joe and Camel's toe. uniting the country since they are working with Nancy and company going after a popular out going president. it's 50% vs 50% in the USA and when half hates the other half it can't end well. This once strong country is divided and I for one don't know how it will end but I know Americans. This won't end well.

The Media in both Canada and the USA is a total shit show. Green revolution the reset etc etc. This lovely new socialist society where every day people are nothing and the few elites run the show in gated protected areas.

    Yea socialism works.

    NOT!

    Lets have a drink.

    Cherry Whiskey Smash
    1-ounce jack-daniels
    1-ounce cherry juice
    1/2 ounce amaretto
    1/2 ounce ginger brandy
    2 ounces cherry cola
    5 maraschino cherries

Ah, enjoy. Still can't drink this but hey those that can enjoy it.

Found out more land is coming up for sale south of town. It seems those who retired and left for cities or passed and now kids from afar own the property are realizing its worth. It's not just to pay cheap rent and hope they will go away. If the latest sale takes place I think in the next year we will see lots of property change hands rather quickly after years of zero sales. Now the big dogs are already grabbing what they can. Throw in a new Alberta transplant and a few new Canadians from South Africa and we have a good old fashion bidding war. Could get interesting. We have one guy that put a ridiculous price years ago on his land. He is within $83500.00 of getting what he wanted will he sell.

Have a great week and enjoy the temps as it looks like next Thursday we have a change coming. Oh, it's the last half of January the cold usually hit that time of year. Check history it will prove that fact.

As of today, 1.15% of Canadians have received at least one shot of the Covid vax. In the last 24 hours, 41,499 people received it. At this rate, it will take 675 days for eligible Cdns to get ONE shot. Not two.

Whenever Ducks Unlimited or NCC is involved in anything ...you know its a scam....their engineering is suspect at best..absolute garbage compared to decades old PFRA engineering...

As far as the storm ...it highlights the decay of our infrastructure....if one post is ready to fail in a main power line ...chances are the rest are soon to follow...they were all put in at the same time ffs....

And the highway signs....phucks sakes already use bigger posts...they dont need a crew to put posts in year after year....just use bigger post and actually tamp them....they start wobbling in 20 kmh winds....I dont think they factor in the snow plows barrel wet snow at them at 60kmh

I have to ask this who knows how many acres Ducks Unlimited has in Saskatchewan. Now compare that to Teachers pension plan or Canada pension or Angelic. Shouldn't these be there also?

Come on maybe I qualify to sit on the panel also. Oh, wait I'm a real farmer **** no way.

            South of which town?

Would love to see more SA farmers migrate here. Too bad our immigration policy is based on filling up Toronto with low information voters who think Trudeaus corruption is mild.

This code of practice has been in the works for a few years now...without much farmer involvement ...they say farmers are involved through different groups...wrong they are there to represent the farm group....they have taken off their farmer's hat...

Has the same agenda as the Seed tax....bring it to farmers with desired outcome and wonder why they look at it why suspicion or mistrust.....they are already doing surveys on the code without finishing the consultation meetings...

Balcarrres is catching up to Indian head in price.

Yes, I wonder why we cant bring in thousands of South African farmers who are basically risking their lives to farm over there. Yet maybe skippy knows they aren't stupid enough to vote for him.

Yea the seed tax was just the beginning of the shit show attacks on Farms.

Had a good conversation about this with a neighbor it's a shit show. Some of the best wheat varieties have come out of Swift or Brandon designed by Ag Canada staff. Then looks at Canola with Billions pumped into it with costly seed and guess what it's yielding some years like the early 80s and some like the late 80s.

The yield peaked and isn't going higher whereas wheat I have doubled our yield with one great change. Quit growing ****ing straw and put it in the head boom. Yield.

This Code of Conduct is funny how it just came out of nowhere onto Canadian Farmers. Why?

So lets say the vaccines provide immunity for 6 to 8 months, but it will take over a year to vaccinate the population, we will then never get to herd immunity. Dont throw away your masks just yet, lock downs the new normal.

Interesting comment ...my wife and I were discussing this when the vaccine was announced and they didn't know how long it lasts with both doses in.......Canada won't make full vaccinations in less than a year...and the normal flu vaccine is a yearly thing....someone had better step up the pace...

And I think the delay is the federal government's doing....but will blame the provinces...

The vaccinate the world thing is just a media positive to make us think they are doing something.ya right...
                            Thoughts on this.
Why in sask.and in Canada only..
Why has no popular politician or media person got covid and died?
They all leave their bubble..travel out side the country..
                            People of all ages died.
                            Yet that group is immune?
What are the odds of that?

Because farmers bad , always improving land , trying to be more productive , going that extra mile to get the job done and improving food quality thats second to none to any country.
