If I remember correctly the last spike above 700 occurred in March, hard to predict when it comes this year, USDA report on Jan 12 should set the direction. Canola acres won’t have o be bought this spring, hope there aren’t to many canola snow rotations.

I believe canola being where it is is driving more of the specialty crop prices where they have never been as well. We are gonna see a lot of canola snow canola this year in our area. Wheat acres are gonna take a big hit around here.

Grain companies are playing games they don't want to pay farmers and are trying targets, it won't get there and basis nonbasis flat price etc.
It's all about paying the least and selling for the most.

Incoming freight to stand for futures delivery plus the hassle probably at this level, ish. Possible that crushers pay $50 over before this is over. Blows a standard hedge program out of the water but wth! Didnt leave any naked spec tonnes First time for a $1000/ac gross even if only on small amount.
Thank the Donald for Chinese trading behavior the last few years?

Crush margin has changed a lot in the past week. Better margins based off July and Nov now. Watch the inverse. May be unwinding.
The plant went to +32 July del basis July - self haul
Camrose is +45 for June/July del basis July
