    QT Cash Livestock Outlook

Hogs: Steady/weak. The packers are dug in and even as Monday's cut outs rose sharply, would not pay up for supplies. The pork product market softened again yesterday and even with mostly lower cash hogs cut outs lost .28 to $79.24. Part of the weakness also tied to seasonal considerations as cash prices start to decline mid-to-late August.

Cattle: Steady/firm. The beef market has stabilized for now and movement yesterday heavy at 438 loads. Retailers likely booking increased amounts of 'cheap' beef for Labor Day featuring and could help support demand for live cattle this week.
