Nov 23, 2020 | 22:07 1 Looks like Alberta will share our pain. Lockdown coming. Sorry guys. Reply With Quote
Nov 24, 2020 | 07:16 2 Would stricter targeted covid measures earlier prevented the impending lock downs? Without the ability to do tracing and tracking it becomes more difficult to target most measures to the largest sources of infections.

Shutting down non essential sources of infections can help prevent the shutting down of essential services in an out of control outbreak.

Covid fatigue is a big factor right now. Reply With Quote

I see the black friday (week) religious group is still very active though.

Canadian Tire has doubled the amount of shit they pack into the stores now, same as Best Buy.

Meanwhile the stores are getting shuttered in the malls. Businesses and restaurants that are more than 30 yrs old, just close the doors and walk. Reply With Quote

Great answer from a guy who spent the last two weeks in the hospital, due to a life threating infection!

If the Regina hospital was full of Covid cases where would have you gone?

Do you really believe your own bullshit?

I am sure Ford, Pallister, Moe and Kenney that their plan is to kill business and make Canada a shithole with their various levels of lockdowns! That must be their reelection plan. LMAO

It wouldn't have anything to do with trying to save lives and prevent a health care system from collapsing would it? No......couldn't be!

With logic like yours it kind of explains a lot! LOL Reply With Quote

Maybe Florida? Maybe the Mayo clinic? Then he would have had the fun of collecting insurance for his 2 week hospital stay only to find out maybe he wasn't covered.

Oh but the Mayo clinic is putting hospital beds in the ambulance garage!

  • Nov 24, 2020 | 11:08 14 You don't have to fill all the hospital beds to have a crisis. If you are maxing out ICU capacity because of COVID, how do yo treat people like sask for other ailments or perform elective surgeries? Not only are ICU beds running out but staff hours lost due to isolation and positive tests. This not fearmongering this is making people realize how important following health guidelines is. 10,947 people have died, with their deaths tied to Covid, and

10,781 of the people which have died were Long Term Care Home people!

only,,, 166 Canadians were not Long term Care Home people.

That is astonishing,,, our own governments are destroying our economies and burdening our future offspring with debt, that will last generations.

Some dumb ass with a positive case went into the obstetrics ward at the Calgary Foothills, had 2 times he would have had to lie about his status. Last I heard 4 staff have been infected from this, who knows how many patients may have been infected.

I beleive a lot of the conspiracy theorist and anti maskers on agriville deep down are smarter than they appear sometimes and trust they would all do the right things but the problem is all the rhetoric that gets posted and then a certain segment believes it and then here we are. And we wouldn't have to be if the morons just used their heads last spring.

Universal Health care in Canada is a socialist program, you took advantage of and it, and it saved your life. Therefore, you would be classified as a hypocrite and a socialist.

Didn't you work for the Sk NDP and fly their banner just a few years ago, Golden Spoon Boy !

helmsdale's Avatar Nov 24, 2020 | 17:45 29 Does anyone have a link to any government data that has the "source of infection" broken down? Did a real quick look through the Alberta data, and can't seem to find it...

The recent updates by Albertas CMOH have really stressed the need to avoid in home gatherings, and unregulated social settings over and over again.

If it turns out that most of the new infections are taking place outside of bars, restaurants, and shopping centers, but rather inside homes, and at social gatherings like birthdays, anniversary's, weddings, and funerals, I really don't see the need to lock small business down...

Perhaps it could even be counterproductive? If you cannot meet friends or family in a controlled setting like a bar or restaurant where things are regularly sanitized, social distancing is enforced, food is not communal, and drinks are mixed in a sanitary fashion, then you are likely to do so in a home setting. I think it's fair to say that SERIOUS covid fatigue is setting in, but provided that government provides appropriate avenues for social creatures to socialize, we can avoid driving it underground... • helmsdale's Avatar Nov 24, 2020 | 18:07 30 It would also seem that we deserve whatever we end up getting... The sheer stupidity of individuals certainly does not inspire confidence in the future of mankind.

Take for instance a very local event...

Individual A has an 80th birthday party. "A" likely doesnt plan anything out, but a number of individuals do, and so Individual "B", the son of "A" comes out from a designated hotspot in Alberta (Calgary) all the while feeling unwell, to an area that had up and until now ZERO cases.

"B" attends said birthday party where he proceeds to infect his father "A", his sibling's wife "C", his daughter in law "D", and "D"'s mother "E".

"A" ends up in hospital after collapsing at home from respiratory distress, "C" works in the health care industry and attends work as normal, perhaps suffering symptoms, but unsure. "D" has a small child and is pregnant with another. "C"s potential exposure in a health setting means mandatory testing for all personnel in the hospital as well as LTC patients who are attached to the hospital.

E's husband is fairly active in the community and attends numerous small functions and outings. Possibly exposing numerous individuals. C is likely the most dangerous vector!

B in their right mind should NEVER have left a covid hotspot.
C should have never reported to work

Two people were careless with the guidelines... the entire community will pay the price... Reply With Quote
