Nov 19, 2020 | 21:17 4 Yup. More will die from other issues that will never be talked about. There is more to this than a bad flu and people are easily confused into believing what ever the media, the news, the sports channels, the weather networks, schools, any bozo on the web that spews their founded and unfounded views about this. Use your own brains which I might add is sorely lacking in this day and age of google. It’s easy to find out all sides of this issue without some supposed expert telling u their side of someone else’s agenda. This has way more to do with our governments mismanagement of OUR funds than a virus. Like SF3 says follow the money. Reply With Quote

    No faith in masks?
What is the average death rate in sask per day of all causes?
    heard 26..
So yes the 32 covid total since march seems tiny..
    All lives and deaths matter..
Think for yourselves.. Reply With Quote

  • Nov 19, 2020 | 23:28 6 Yes jazz ,he talks a good game.
But ,we are way over his numbers of
    1 in 300,000 deaths already under 65.
    And it just got here

Pretty easy with a million population
To do the math. Times 3.3
It has just really started here an we are
    Over that already.
So glad I am just under your 65 they deserve
    To die number.
All I can say is , considering this is a marketing
Forum , buy reefer truck rentals
They are all the rage now. Reply With Quote

All other deaths have more than one cause. Reply With Quote

Video is an affirmation of the obvious.

",,,politics playing medicine...", "...masks are utterly useless..." - but what would a doctor of virology know.

His words support broad study results earlier released by the CDC.

It appears that Alberta is the only province that lists all co-morbidities related to the deaths.

When all the info is presented, it suddenly looks a whole lot different.

But deniers are gonna deny... Reply With Quote

If some poor sap happens to die because of my carelessness I guess that poor sap just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Short of locking me up, even taking my license or confiscating my vehicle won't stop me.

  • Nov 20, 2020 | 08:19 11 26 people die every day in Saskatchewan from other causes but only 32 have died from Covid in 265 days So 32/265 equals .12 of a person. Or a tenth of a person - Geez its a huge problem! (More sarcasm) Reply With Quote

  • Nov 20, 2020 | 08:34 12 What happened to trust the scientists? The guy sounds like he has credentials to comment.

Unless you guys think Tam is the health authority we should listen to.

They are rolling out new models again saying sask is going to have 400,000k cases, or 4500, or who knows. Reply With Quote

  • Nov 20, 2020 | 08:34 13 I knew that drunk driving comment wouldn't be popular.

I'm not going to try and repeat everything I've posted in the past to discredit or support that drunk driving comparison.

.....and I don't own any tin foil hats.

Economically there has been too many casualties and will be more.

Maybe the rest of the economy will now know what the oil industry feels like.

This too shall pass, and so will afew people. Reply With Quote

  • Nov 20, 2020 | 08:43 14 What did the speaker say that wasnt true? Everything we have tried has not stopped it. Everyone is wearing masks in contact areas. But if masks dont really work and the virus is airborn up to 30 ft. How do you suggest we combat that. Please explain your ideas. Are you suggesting we social distance 30 frigging feet?

And the vaccine success rates are on par with the survival rate. 94% vaccine efficacy vs 95% survival in general population.

Cmon people, please think for once. Reply With Quote

He lost a little respect from me when he said aerosol can travel 30 meters before it settles....expelled by a sneeze, carried on a breeze or with a 50 kmph tail wind?

I hope if I ever need or have surgery that the surgical team wears masks. Not effective? Why wear them? Or do they only want to conceal their identity? I don't think anyone is claiming masks are 100% effective against spreading or getting germs.

People need to step away from the extreme edge of their absolute pro or con arguments.....before they go over their respective edge.

There has also been some restriction or directive in SK for 246 days now. Care to hazard a guess what the landscape would look like had there been none at all?
I will admit I don't know but every single senior's home in the province has had strict protocol in place for workers and visitors since March 20. It's working Reply With Quote

That's not how that works Jazz, not the same thing at all, review your math. The polio vaccine was about the same effectivendss and look what it did. Dont be foolish and get the vaccine Reply With Quote

I would say our govts are taking us there and nobody is asking questions and thats dangerous.

And the last time I was in an op room was the birth of my daughter. It was hotter than a pistol in there and the physician sure worked up a sweat.

Point being nothing short of a hazmat suit will prevent human transmission of a virus.

    And then there is this;

    Amazon: $91 Billion
    Walmart: $38B
    Google: $37B
    Microsoft: $33B
    Facebook: $28B
    Nike: $8B
    Apple: $8B

Thats not their profits for 2020. Thats their increase in profits over 2019. Reply With Quote

GDR, polio was in a subset of the population. The comparison is not valid. Childhood diseases are not the same.

Use the same family of illnesses as your guide. Use the flu vaccine as a comparison. Its 60-70% effective most years and its efficacy is much lower in an older population.

Clearly with a surgery, you have a incision, and an open wound, masks are worn to prevent bacteria from getting in, and lessen the risk of infection.

    From the article:
The CoVID-19 pandemic is about viral transmission. Surgical and cloth masks do nothing to prevent viral transmission. We should all realize by now that face masks have never been shown to prevent or protect against viral transmission. Which is exactly why they have never been recommended for use during the seasonal flu outbreak, epidemics, or previous pandemics.

If a surgeon were sick, especially with a viral infection, they would not perform surgery as they know the virus would NOT be stopped by their surgical mask.

If you can't help but believe and trust the weak retrospective observational studies and confused public health "authorities" lying to you about the benefits and completely ignoring the risks of medical masks, then you should at least reject the illogical anti-science recommendation to block only 2 of the 3 ports of entry for viral diseases. Masks only cover the mouth and nose. They do not protect the eyes.
