In my careers, there was approximately 0 opportunity to be paid in cash. So I had the priviledge of paying a lot of taxes. Meanwhile there are countless other jobs and businesses that earn a substantial amount of their income from cash. We are 95% digital currency now, even with the traditional paper/plastic bills. With this everything can be tracked and traced.
Ie) who would have thought 20 years ago that we would be buying a bottle of water with a tap credit card.

The gov has time and the adoption to digital has been exponential, with easy public acceptance ( if Govt were to impose it would be a much different story) all Govt has to do is print less paper for circulation, short the market and people will gravitate fully and quickly . No kids carry cash any more.

Now crypto is different, private untraceable, anonymous, is the new cash or paper but digital for those that want or need to cheat the system. Govt don’t want or need crypto’s, I don’t know if I really want or need i5 either.

If you want to take a cynical negative and very limited view without all the variables known of the world then yes your above statements are true.
