Dry lightning and 41* would have me nervous too. Actually I just wilt at anything over 25* anyway.

Most years there’s only a couple months where waving a lit tiger torch around in the bush or field could cause a problem in this area. I guess there is one perk to being covered in ice/snow for six months at a time. 😉

            Another fire yesterday
A cut and paste from my sons bests mates mother.

Just letting everyone know Damien is in surgery at the RAH getting his burns dressed at the moment we can’t be with him because of Bloody COVID but thankfully he will be okay
To all the farmers who have lost crop and sheep we feel for you I never want to see a fire like that one again just unbelievable. We got there soon after ignition Damien went ****. Was scary shit.

Update from his wife if ya interested.

Up Date on Damien. I have spoken to him and the doctors this morning, he is in the burns unit at the RAH in ICU and has 35 percent of his body burnt. Legs arm and hands had surgery last night to clean everything up and then Monday will have surgery again to skin graph everything. He is in good spirits and was just worried about everyone here and how the fire was going and if it was all out.
Thank you to everyone for your concern, we are busy processing all this I will get back to everyone and their messages when I can
                  Thank you so much
