Yes, makes Covid pale in comparison.

Anyone think about the math of this? For example cases with an outcome in the US are at about 4% death rate (long term average), 7 million cases, 250,000 dead at around 1500 per day lately. So yesterday an astounding 180,000 people got covid, does that mean by the time they have an outcome, is the US looking at 7200 deaths per day?

For comparison Canada is at 5%, but that has more to do with seniors homes getting covid and less general public infections. But we have far less ICU capacity then the US, this could get really bad.

Wear a mask, stay home, get the flu shot.

5%? You mean 1 in 20 people are dying? Rather doubt it.

What you choose to believe is completely irrelevant. The US cases have a 4% outcome, Cdn is 5%.

Tweety its not going to get bad.

Donald and Donald's puppets all said it would go away after the election is over! Many of the puppets apparently like Donald's hand where the sun doesn't shine. LOL

But the "puppets" on Agrisilly are wanting to change the channel until one of their family ends up needing a hospital bed!

Until then there is no problem!

Think about who has been dying. Old folks homes or around 10 to 12% death rate. Given the farmer age demographic, you can be sure to fall into that 3 or 4% death rate.

But death isn't the only outcome. Long term effects, cardiac, brain, lung etc can easily end your farming career. These numbers are much harder to arrive at since they are lumped into recovery - just meaning you're not dead.

Medical Doctors, immunologists, virologists, infection control have spent a lifetime studying diseases, maybe its time to start listening to them rather then facebook and twitter.

So what the hell do you want ?
                    Just an argument ?
Most of us on here are probably doing all we can to avoid it
Most of us have had flu shots ?
What are you looking for on here exactly?

Couple days before the big snow there were some snow pellets in the yard. Went less than 10 miles west to pick up an engine,it was 10 degrees warmer there and when I got home the snow pellets hadn't melted. Big difference in 10 miles.

It’s almost too late now to do the right thing that had to happen last month. Too many disrespectful qanon types and not enough restrictions that were meaningful.

So what happens now that saskatoon icu won’t accept out of town patients most of all
Smaller hospitals don’t have anywhere near rhe staff or equipment to handle someone’s serious condition? Even Poorer care for rural residents now.
                        What’s the plan?

Go to town once a week for food and mail.
Stay away from the large cities.

They aren’t accepting out of town ICU patients when there are beds available in other cities. You honestly think our biggest health center is going to turn down patients once all facilities are full capacity? Your big wheel is flat, time for some air....

Well gee I don’t know they just announced Saskatoon won’t be taking any out of town icu patients. I guess that means they will then? Lmao 😂
Rural patients will be getting second rate care is what that means. They’ve gutted too many smaller centres they should have had more Regional centres at least all with top end capebilities. they don’t have that.
Most people if they have something serious just bypass the local hospital because it just wastes time while they figure out what to do without any useful equipment. Moe should announce where people should go now.
