Surely you can't be serious about Morrison consulting Trudeau about dealing with China. Our troubles started before the arrest of Meng Wanzhou. It started when the "preppy" wet behind the ears Trudeau tried to tell Chinese authorities how to run their country by tying moral issues into an economic trade deal . He couldn't baffle China with his bullshit or dazzle them with his socks either. Phone a real leader of a respected country, Canada has lost its way.

I firmly believe no one takes us serious under this current regime.

People need to learn that the chinese want to be your master not your friend. Even president Trump wasted his time trying to negotiate with the chinese. You guys need to put a tariff on chinese goods, and use the proceeds to fund compensation to injured businesses as a result of chinese unilateral trade action and call it a day. Simple really. Your PM can call me. In the US, tariff revenue helps fund the Trump bucks payments to American farmers.

            Key points:

Tariffs on Australian beef into China will jump from less than 5 per cent to 12 per cent for six months
China's tariffs are also expected to increase on whole milk powder
The tariffs will drop back to preferential rates under ChAFTA on January 1

Mr Quilty says the impact of the increased tariffs is already being felt in the Australian beef industry.

"New Zealand and Costa Rica are now on zero tariffs [into China], but Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Canada are all on 12 per cent, and we are as well," he said.

"Chinese importers have already asked Australian exporters to either renegotiate contracts already in the system or, in some instances, have looked to cancel contracts, which we know is a real no-no in the market place.

"The ability of the Chinese importer to pass this higher cost duty forward to the consumer in China is almost impossible.

"The economy in China is struggling and we're finding lower prices each day for meat products, right across the board."

The preferential tariffs will be reinstated from January 1, 2021 before being completely removed under ChAFTA from January 1, 2024.

The Agriculture Department says the change in tariffs is "not related in any way to other trade issues or COVID-19".

When Norway awarded a Nobel Peace Prize to Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo, the authorities in China slapped fresh import controls on one of its iconic exports, Norwegian salmon.

When South Korea angered Beijing by installing a US missile defence system, one of its major supermarket chains suddenly found most of its Chinese branches shut down over "safety violations".

The aim is not to financially cripple the other country, but to remind them how easily Beijing can impose economic pain. It's an implicit threat designed to shape behaviour.

              In other words bully boys

Ask PM Blackface Trudeau for advice in handling the ChiComs,,, are you a serious person? !!!
Trudeau has 6" up his a ss, and he wants more.
Western Canada is being screwed by the ChiComs, only because the ChiComs are too stupid to know that there is little support for Trudeau in the areas the ChiComs are trying to hurt Trudeau. Trudeaus laughing because western Canadians wouldn't vote for that blackface SOB anyway...

If the ChiComs had a brain, they'd be targeting Trudeau voters,,, like Quebecers or Maritimers, or downtown Torontonians. Oh ya, the ChjiComs wanted to Quebec hogs, but then relented, because they couldn't go without their sweet an' sour pork ! They can go without canola oil, because they'll just fry up racoon or possum fat instead.

The ineptitude of our PM Blackface, is NO joking matter.

He's destroying this country, right before our eyes, he and his cabal are turning this fine, beautiful, once proud country into a third world sh*thole for future generations. Our grand children will be saddled with this debit their whole working lives, and our resources will be owned by foreign countries.

I don't know how it could be appropriate to joke about that, ffs.

                      "Me too" Mallee.

I just had to point out the reality of what we're dealing with.

Did Morrison do what Trudope did and is he as inept as our clown and his circus.
