Australian Eucalypts 'are incinerators from hell dressed up as trees'

Well that's interesting, why were the fires so bad? Why couldn't fire fighters put them out when they fight fires in forests all the time. Well enter the Eucalypt tree which basically gases off an oily evaporate into the local atmosphere and dumps oily leaves all over the forest floor creating a tinder box with its own fuel for the fire.

So maybe not climate change after all.

Eucalyptus trees were introduced to California because they thrive in the near desert climate.

They are a dominant invader species.

They don't seem to have power line right of ways in areas where Eucalyptus prevail and only trim the trees from the top down to give about 10 ft of clearance between a high voltage three phase line and the top of the mature tree growing below.

You often hear of the power company having a short that caused the fire.

You have to see it to believe it.

I think they will have more fires in their future until they start clearing right of ways similar to what we see here.

It won't happen because you can't cut any trees "In my back yard".
