Lots of worried farmers in Britain because their is no guarantee that they will have market access under a new trade agreement and the level of support they may receive from Governments is uncertain and may be tied to a focus on environmental goods and services. Which is what the Conservative government was proposing.

          From the Financial Times

          https://www.ft.com/content/6e159a24-be7d-11e9-9381-78bab8a70848 https://www.ft.com/content/6e159a24-be7d-11e9-9381-78bab8a70848

"British farmers face uncertainty despite ‘green Brexit’ promises
New subsidy system and trade policy questions threaten farm livelihoods and food production

If the plan goes ahead, farmers will no longer receive annual “basic payments” based on the area of land they cultivate. Instead farmers will be paid only if they carry out land management or environmental projects, for example, to protect wildlife or provide clean water.

By delivering such “public goods”, the government argues that farmers will earn their right to support rather than being entitled to it. It has promised a “green Brexit” with the new policy, saying it would leave “the countryside in a cleaner, greener and healthier state for future generations”.

Today, under the EU regime, farmers in the UK receive payments of around £3bn a year, but experts have warned that support may be much lower under the new system as agriculture competes with other priorities such as healthcare or education for funding."

"If the UK leaves the EU without a deal, many goods — including cheddar cheese, beef, pork and wheat — will immediately be subject to export tariffs when going into European markets.

The loss of such markets would be a big stress on farms, even before the new subsidy policy comes into force. About 60 per cent of the UK’s exports of food and drink headed to the EU last year, according to the Food and Drink Federation. Meanwhile, about half the UK’s food is imported, with 30 per cent coming from the EU, and another 11 per cent from non-EU countries under trade deals negotiated by the bloc."

Case, there is nothing but continual whining by the Trudeau and liberal haters on Agriville!

SF3 has never made a post where he hasn't complained about Trudeau! LOL

Everything that goes wrong is Trudeau's fault! Correct?

When in doubt blame Trudeau! That way you don't actually have to think about an issue.

Well, Chuck, I gave Trudeau his 15 min at the beginning then he started to show his true colours when the handlers left him to run unscripted. He has proven over and over that he is a complete moron.

The liberal party ran a puppet and Won and ran a puppet again and thanks to the GTA Media and Montreal we have Skippy again.

Now the Liberal party has put Krista in charge because at least she can answer a question intelligently. Skippy gets personal days and is now like a Gov. General.

How Liberal supporters think he has any kind of Brain in his head is just amazing.

When the thread starts with whining about the "whining" who should respond? SF3. How appropriate!

The poster who rarely ever discuses the actual issues.

Chuck you post something and what 6 people read it or respond because its the same bullshit every time how your a superior being and climate change is happening etc etc.

I post different topics and on average a 1000 view or more.

So chuck keeps patting yourself on the back with how Trudeau is so smart and doing wonderful things for Canada.

I'm telling you he is the Cancer that is killing Canada. 70000 jobs lost since he was reelected and you actually think this next four or five months will be any different.

                  Ah, keep believing.

Canada cant afford anything the liberals are thinking of doing.

As the topic says I can also bet if the Trudeau liberals would have lost we would have small groups trying to start violence in the GTA and Montreal. Liberals are a disease god wake up Canada.

Well SF3 points out weak leaders praying on weak minds and using the MSM as their hammer. Thats all right up your alley chuck.

You can see this in the rash of weekend climate scaremongering articles getting thrown around.

No comments on the concerns of British farmers and what Brexit might mean to them?

That should be clarified as anti-Brexit experts CC as there are experts on both sides predicting opposing outcomes. There is no reason why support to agriculture should be less as Britain contributes far more to the EU than they receive back and we know the Conservatives are not traditionally lavish spenders on healthcare or education. It's by no means clear what will happen to British agriculture after Brexit which is reflected by the farm vote which is evenly split on the topic. They are a trading nation though and have always been able to market farm produce overseas, I don't expect it'll be any different this time around. They may not have tariff free access to the EU the day after Brexit but trade will prevail. As an example I sold sheep to the same processing/exporting company that my Grandfather did - the sheep meat always went to Europe even before the EU or it predecessor the EEC existed. These same buyers will still be looking to trade with that company because they want that product. Brexit will likely prove to be a little hump in the road to that trade in the long run in my opinion.

So people who don't share your particular political views are a "cancer" and a "disease"?

That is the type of language used by nazis, white supremacists and fascists.

Only obnoxious stupid people say things like that on a public forum.
