Moe will have to focus on something other than the carbon tax and the oil industry. Don't expect much!

Moe and Marit will resist calls to improve Agristability and Crop Insurance because it will cost the province more and jeopardize their plans for a balanced budget.

They would rather have a balanced budget than help farmers sleep better at night and survive the winter.

If rural Sask party supporters don't raise some hell and get the Sask Party to stand behind farmers, then don't expect much help from anybody else.

Moe is abandoning farmers and spends a lot of time playing politics! Where is the leadership?

Blakney is the sole reason why there are 50 story oil towers in Calgary and not Regina.

What? It has nothing to do with the very large reserves in Alberta that dwarf Saskatchewan’s? LMAO!

Turns out trying to nationalize oil provincially makes people and money move.

Same reason why there are a million people in Calgary and the same 1930s era population levels in Sask.

Leaving the politics out my comments ...I don't think it matters what party is in...they don't give a shit about farmers....

The last guy that did was Grant Devine....

Anyone else have the balls to mortgage the province on agriculture....that could be paid back with one bad weather year in India or China....

And according to some experts like Katib ....there is tremendous opportunity in agriculture so why not bridge farmers to the next opportunity

Jazz. Peter Lougheed started a provincially owned oil company too! So find another excuse.

"In an effort to counter the dominance of the multinational oil companies, Lougheed established the Alberta Energy Company, half-owned by the provincial government with the other half owned by members of the public purchasing shares at affordable prices. The notion of Albertans investing in the province’s resources—privately and through public ownership—proved wildly popular. The Alberta Energy Company was given some attractive oil properties to develop and was touted as a vehicle for diversifying the province’s economy beyond oil, including establishing a spinoff petrochemical industry. Lougheed was keen to push Alberta out of its past pattern of exporting raw resources for processing elsewhere."

                Here is what happened:
Encana Corporation produces, transports and markets oil and natural gas. It was formed in 2002 through the merger of the Alberta Energy Company Ltd. and the PanCanadian Energy Corporation. In 2009, the company split in two. Encana remained a corporate entity focused on the exploration, production and marketing of natural gas, and Cenovus Energy was formed to concentrate on oil exploration, production and sales. In 2019, Encana announced plans to move its corporate headquarters from Calgary, Alberta to Denver, Colorado and rebrand as Ovintiv Inc. Encana Corporation earned $5.9 billion in revenue and $1.07 billion in profit in 2018, and it held $15.3 billion in assets. It is a public company that trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ECA.

Maybe its time for farmers to start solving their own problems and stop thinking you will get government welfare at every turn.

Every industry associated remotely to agriculture is on the government tit...

                      1. Evraz
                      2. Morris industries
                      3. P&H for their flour mill
                      4. Fertilizer companies for water they never had to build the infrastructure for their plants ...government built them the water infrastructure....
                      5. DOT autonomous got 5 million....sold out 3 months late and the debt moved/never will be repaid.
                      6. AGT 117 million? a buck bushel for 10 years

You could say the same for industries that can re-coup their costs with an updated price list...

What Senft was trying to say, Trudeau destroyed a market for Canadian Canola by taking the HUAWEI exec. and putting her under house arrest for trump. At the same time, Trudeau is compensating Dairy farmers in Quebec for a potential loss of market to a tune of 3% not 100% loss of market.

The liberals and Gov hurt western Canadian farmers bad and they give us a ****ing loan.

WAKE UP FARMERS WE WERE ****ED BY THE GOV OF CANADA HOW DOES IT FEEL>

IF we were Quebec oh no problem.

Getting tired of idiots who say we farmers should do more. We do enough already for this shit hole country.

The ignorance is on your part. There are too many of us which makes it unaffordable in any way. the sooner you realize that, the sooner you can farm profitably (if you aren't already)

Now stop being a welfare sissy, and become a business person.
