    some thoughts and questions

    1. So while all politicians took their summer holidays ...was their staff not monitoring the CN negotiations ?

    2. Why all of a sudden the interest in how farmers are doing when there is a rail strike? more likely they are worried about the economy as a whole....they don't want to alarm anyone....in this whole mess farmers are the only ones not getting a raise...as a matter of fact we will paying demurrage and with the backup the prices will go down...

    3. 170000 barrels a day X 5days X $25 per barrel is 23million .....500000 tones of grain at @300 or more is 150 million...see where I am going...

    4. Quebec said their energy needs are covered ...for 5 days???? And asking Ottawa for help is the form of a subsidy to them....for a province that wants to break away ....how are they going to keep warm....this is when the new deal should be taking place....now...not December

    5. If the government has to be called in every time there is a rail strike ...what does management do exactly? And isn't that a form of a subsidy if they force the workers back??? Why are shareholders not raising a concern???

    6. For all those that want to help Quebec out ....you are an enabler to their ignorant, arrogant, and smug ways ...its time to put them in their place or wean them....shit or get off the pot....

    7. Where are the people that should be watching this ...isn't this what politicians of any stripe are elected to do....

While this CN strike is a bad thing ...it might be over already....there is value to learn from it....although it seems they haven't learnt from the last time... it would be like spraying roundup on a clearfield canola field and then doing it again the next year....and the excuse is ...forgot what variety was on the field....

Now to farming....where the phuck are our farm groups...not just the CN thing but the poor harvest and the lack of programs....seems odd to ensure the railways are making money for the economy maybe its time farmers made a little as well with some actual help from the government....

A forced quick election would certainly put a better set of platforms out there at this point in time....then we wouldn't be talking about religion, abortion , US citizenship, socks or other stupid shit .....we might actually be talking about the value of this country as an economic powerhouse....to the rest of the world....

it is interesting that Devin Dreeshen talks about better business risk management programs but he was in Ritz's office while the conservatives were gutting them.....typical liberal trick...pretend you actually did something....and our saskatchewan ag ministers have went from senile (stewart) to full stupid (marit)

About a dozen farmers are driving their tractors from Châteauguay to CN headquarters in Montreal Friday to protest the shortage.
