What are the Western MPs talking about...sure don't seem to be representing their base support of agriculture very well...

Both, he asked for a 1 yr reprieve from the carbon tax on grain drying. It was rebuffed and followed by a stupid grin from our boy chief. Moe looked like he wanted to pummel him.

Both Moe and Meili are missing the point....the carbon tax isn't the issue ...its all the tough unmarketable grain sitting on the prairies...

If the carbon tax on grain drying is the deal breaker then the crop should have been left in the field...

Guys have spent a buck bushel trying to dry grain in smaller bins with makeshift heaters and not every farm can go buy a dryer....

I think the saskatchewan politicians have missed the opportunity.... chasing an issue that could disappear next year....

The province could easily issue a rebate for the carbon tax on grain drying....they have committed 40 bucks an acre to irrigation districts for 5 years....think outside the box....they have the money and their focus is off....so is the vision for saskatchewan and Canada.....

Policy isnt the point right now. Skippy has his finger on that and nothing anyone else can do about it.

The conservative opposition, Scheer, Ford, Kenny are going to try and make it hell for skippy for the next few months and see if they can topple the govt. I dont see this govt lasting long. 2 yrs would be a stretch. I think there are a lot of people in the GTA having buyers remorse. I doubt he would get anywhere near 157 seats in the next election. People are going to notice when you start giving everything to the bloc and socialists, they will never stop and CPC just need to watch for that issue and bring down the house.

BTW agriculture still has no representation....if Trudeau called the mayors of Saskatoon and Regina...he should have called some rural leaders as well....

There is an article in the post today saying Obama flipped the election. It must have been much closer than the results show until he stuck his nose in. The CPC must see something there. A little more work in Atl Canada and GTA and some more time for Singh to prance around might flip the entire thing more in balance. Thats why Kenny is on the slow boat. Cult of personality is a hard thing to topple and there are a lot of weak minds in the country.

Farmers are in trouble way beyond the carbon tax amount on grain drying. Moe talks about the one thing he wouldn’t contribute to help our situation who’s gonna sit down with him and ask him about all the shit his government has thrown at farmers which is way more than the carbon tax. The carbon tax has nothing to do with crap insurance, agstability, provincial tax which has cost my farm several times more than the carbon tax, etc etc.

We need a reset like alberta did ndp one term then maybe they’ll get the message
