Mar 6, 2019 | 14:07 5 I hadn't seen his cartoons before. Really well done compared to most, without being so belittling with grossly exaggerated caricatures as most. There are a lot of details in there if you look hard enough, Such as the fact that the airplane is actually upside down. Reply With Quote

His political cartoons are fantastic. I've been following him on Twitter since the bronco tragedy. He had some very poignant art work at the time that encapsulated the thoughts of a nation well. Reply With Quote
farmaholic's Avatar Mar 6, 2019 | 20:05 7 Ok, I tried to pick out the subtle irony in the cartoons...

#1. his unravelling left sock has what looks to me like... A minion on it.

#2. Wernick with his pants down around his ankles...not so subtle, but caught in an embarrassing situation!

#3. too stupid to realize that he will be one of the dominos...what goes around comes around. Kinda like Karma.

#4. have to admit, I didn't realize the view through the plane window has it flying upside down...thanks to who ever pointed that out...too funny.

#5. Making Jody walk the plank on an already sunk ship...lol

#6. Going about as far away as you can to avoid the heat at home.

#7. Yup, his own rainbows and unicorns thoughts and beiefs were his very own demise. (All while the majic show, smoke and mirrors, and slight of hand was happening behind the scenes)

Good bye Justin and good riddance.
I hope future generations don't forget and elect his spawn. Reply With Quote

I hope they pass a law forbidding his spawn from entering politics. They seem to get exponentially worse with every generation.

#1, I thought it was R2D2 and C3PO, but perhaps I'm from the wrong generation.
Regarding #6, trudeau announced we were going to the moon as a distraction during this fiasco.

Also, Wernick, the "independent, non-partisan" bureaucrat, has the red "L" on his underwear... Reply With Quote

PM Fake Feminist is clutching his cherished image? The next 2 I don't get. Who is the woman on the pedestal, Maggie? The globe (world) is too small for him?

The robot likely indicates the party responses?

And are the 3 closest to him all trying to run the puppet in the center, their hands pushing for control?

DeAdder is amazing. His pictures are worth ten thousand words.

farmaholic's Avatar Mar 12, 2019 | 07:14 16 Isn't the women on the pedestal Princess Leia from star wars?

Could the tank represent something about the armored personnel carriers to Saudi Arabia.

In the cartoon where his socks were unravelling, I think the left sock had a minion on it and the other looked like it could have been some robotic image...maybe it was R2D2 as in this cartoon? But why?

And yup, I like the way Butts is kind of leaning forward and towards Trudeau with his arm extending to Trudueas' back....like a ventriloquist controlling his "dummy"!

    Edit in:

Do you think the the small globe could represent the song "Its a Small World After All", signifying "peace and harmony" of which the Liberal Party has none of?

Wasn't Princess Leia(representing Meng Wanzhou of Huawei) captured and held prisoner by Darth Vader? Some irony there!

Could the tank also represent Raybold's shuffle to Veteran's Affairs?

Too bad he hasn't incorporated the statue of the "Scales of Justice" into his cartoons yet....that might be coming yet....lots could be done with that, A WHOLE SERIES could be developed.

Mar 12, 2019 | 17:51 18 De Adder's cartoons appear in many papers, but many of the ones posted above came from the Toronto Star. Isn't that a pretty left leaning paper?

Harper had much tighter control over his ministers and the PMO to a fault. The complaining about how the PMO has handled this file is legitimate. But Harper's ministers would have never resigned over an issue such as this and if they did they would not be in caucus. They were the ones who introduced the deferred prosecution agreements in the first place.

We only found out about this because JWR was willing to bring it up and resign over it. This would have never have happened in a Harper Cabinet!

Did I miss something? I was positive the DPA legislation was part of the 2018 budget. Not that it really matters which party brought it in... Reply With Quote
farmaholic's Avatar Mar 12, 2019 | 18:30 21 Another neat bit of irony is the words "Season Four"....Libs are in year four of their term.

I hope they don't last as long as the sitcom "The Office" did, nine seasons. That would be a horrible omen. Reply With Quote
Mar 12, 2019 | 18:50 22 I believe that is JWR on the pedestal overlooking the small ball of wool she took from the sock "boy". Reply With Quote

I saw your name on this thread, and thought we were going to see the lighter side of the chuck. Maybe you would prove us all wrong, and you really do have a sense of humor. But after reading that, it seems the question will remain unanswered.

I also wondered about the Toronto star connection. If even they have turned on Trudeau, then, you maybe the only hope he has left of redeeming his reputation. Reply With Quote
