    Shanghai and Nagasaki

Back in Shanghai to start second half of cruise, ship watchers delight with amount of shipping traffic.
Went to ground zero in Nagasaki where second WW2 atom bomb was dropped.
All rebuilt with several monuments and museum with emphasis on peace.
Even areas left seem to be recovering with nature taking over, Japanese people ready to move on.
Had to compare it with Aushwitz where real atrocity occurred and holocaust museum in Israel.
Japan economy in trouble over population decline caused by low birth rate and not willing to accept immigrants, made me wonder if UK is headed down same path with Brexit.
Professor of China history spoke on ship, said 300 million people starved after communism took over and introduced land ownership reform which was popular at time but system has slipped back into corruption with party officials to blame.
Think US is headed down wrong path with trade war against China, both countries will pay a price for it.

Amazing amount of industry, building and growth in seaports of Southeast Asia.
A lot of new high rise apartment buildings, rising sea levels would be a concern.
Consumers in these urban areas should be a market for food and feed growers.
It is in best interest of prairie growers to be a dependable and trusted source of supply.
Think USA growers who support protectionist govt policy are cutting own throat.
Trade is a two way street, have to buy their products if we want to sell ours.
Japan and Hong Kong are affluent markets, can afford organic and GMO free.
Philippines more poor people, Manila traffic something to see.
Recommend Asia cruise to those interested.
