If Trudeau knew about the arrest ....

...why didn't the dumb**** have the plane redirected to the states and land there for the arrest of the Chinese CEO....

Trump is going to make Canada look very stupid....while he solves the trade issue he started...

The US asks Canada to arrest her ...then the president is willing to use her as a bargaining chip????

    And where is Canada??????

Trudeau didn't help the Indian market problem....
Trudeau pissed off the Saudis and they are not buying...
Now he has pissed off the Chinese and they won't be buying.....

Good thing we have the seed tax coming....that will solve the problem....

I am going to buy a yellow vest....

I thought Trudeau admired the communist China leadership?

Just not smart enough to avoid a trade war by transferring a passenger to the USA apparently.

good thought, may have simplified "the Groper's" life, and saved Canada in millions of taxpayers dollars, as this trial and extradition will likely last years. (If she doesn't hop on a private jet sometime during the up-coming holidays, 10 or 15 million bail is like less than a drop in the bucket) Besides, the neighbours and friends that kicked in, will receive a gift in the mail to repay them.

Justin probably thinks that we owe her something too, that's probably why he gathered her into Canada's loving arms instead of just giving her to the big bad US. We'll be lucky if the US doesn't shut the borders to us with the Trudeau antics.

Trudeau and Freeland are clearly incompetent CANADA TAKES A HOSTAGE is A good article "Trudeau’s statement that this arbitrary arrest was not politically motivated and that he was not involved in giving orders for Canadian police to detain her once she landed in Vancouver is preposterous since the Extradition Treaty between Canada and the United States requires that the United States inform the Canadian foreign ministry of its request and send them the documents supporting the request.

Further Article 2 of the Treaty requires that Canada can only act on such a request if, and only if, the offence alleged is also an offence by the laws of both contracting parties. But the unilaterally imposed and illegal sanctions placed against Iran by the USA, are not punishable acts in Canada and even in the USA the “sanctions” are illegal as the are in violation of the UN Charter https://www.journal-neo.org/2018/12/08/canada-takes-a-hostage-free-meng-wanzhou/

Bucket, do you really want to live in a country where the leader actually has the power to divert planes to other countries, simply because their government wants someone on the plane?

What about the hundreds of other passengers on the plane, many of whom would likely miss connections, would you like to be one of those people whose travel plans are completely thrown out of wack?

There is also the high costs of diverting flights to another airport, additional landing costs, the need for gate access, possibily crew timing out by the additional hours in the air and on the ground, further delaying passengers and cargo. Should Canadians be on the hook for these costs because of the whims of the leader?

And as far as I-F saying that Trudeau had to know, I disagree. The US likely filed a RED NOTICE with INTERPOL, which automatically called for her detention at an arrival airport. The CBSA would have been the arresting body, not the government of Canada or Trudeau or Foreign Affairs. Now that she has been arrested in Canada on the INTERPOL warrant, she is subject to our extradition treat with the US, and not before or during her arrest.

From the CBC Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Ottawa had a few days' prior notice of the arrest of an executive from the Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei following U.S. allegations the company violated sanctions on Iran.
                https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/trudeau-huawei-arrest-meng-wanzhou-1.4935471

The deportation of anyone has to be consistent with Canadian Law. The reason given in the court documents was the company violated the sanctions on Iran. The sanctions on Iran are US sanctions not UN or Canada sanctions. The current sanctions the US placed on Iran are illegal under International law and Canadian law
Please read this article by a Toronto immigration and criminal lawyer "Canada takes a hostage' Trump confirms this is a hostage taking because he says she will be released when they US gets good trade deal from China.

I just don't like Canada bring a pawn in this....

The plane being diverted to the US on the whim of either Trudeau or Trump in minimum compared to what this is going to cost the country....as the threats have been made...m

Trudeau using the “rule of law” for these actions dealing with China. 😂
                    Laughable:
Justin Trudeau only Prime Minister who broke Ethics/Conflict Laws 5 times.
                    Did nothing.
Ministers broke Ethics Law 2 times.
                    Did nothing.
Interferes in jury Verdict on Boushie trial. Changes jury law has the nerve to lecture China on “rule of law”

(Lawyer posted this on social media.)

Also add in Trudeau inviting thousands of opportunists to cross the border illegally to get into Canada.....I don’t think he is worried about Canadian law.

He’s also shutting down Cold Lake, AB base and transferring it to the Liberal friendly region of Ottawa....the Alberta carbon tax isn’t paying off.

Pay air canada to land that plane in USA and let them deal with her.
