    India flooding.....

And people are asking Trudeau to help.....and he probably will....and meanwhile western canadian farmers are told what?

Sorry to be rude but maybe it's time India figures out how to make due without Canada's help....

like what are you going to do,
    you are India
you have 1. something billion people to feed .
like 1/7 of the worlds population .

you have millions of inefficient small farmers, that grow stuff.
guessing they produce 70-90% of what the country actually needs.

but the farmers can not survive , producing it .

it makes no sense , to put them out of business.

    that really would be madness.
they can not all sew shirts.

. do what you have to do , to keep them on the farm and growing food .

running third world countries into the ground does us here no good.

we need a improving standard of living in the third world.

if Chinese or Indian folks , were rich enough to eat one more chicken each a year .
we could not grow enough peas to feed the chickens .

    I know it sucks , losing 2 $ a bushelll on peas .

but why not work , with India,

like were are talking 1.1 billion customers . yes that is billion .
    be nice .

we are not selling caviar , or a Lamborghini

our markets are the poorest folks on the planet.

peas lentils , canola oil to cook what ever in.

I think we need a little understanding about our customers .

to not do so will cost us .

Trudeau may be sucky , .
but being hard ass may cost us ,

    1.1 billion

It's already cost the farm economy over a billion. .....

And besides is India over here helping fight forest fires. ?

      Shouldn't it work both ways?

Will Trudeau send over his attempted assassin friend again to help the Indians??

Time for them to chop all the tariffs on our grain.

Textile industry is very profitable. Lowest labour wages AND best, most efficient technology available in all the world.
Farmers are the extreme bottom of the pile . I am confident the Indian government can import black sea field peas, lentils and chickpeas for much less than Indian farmers can grow them.
          Its just business.

I hadn't been following along, but does this mean that the monsoons didn't fail this year, and they will have good crops( where not flooded)? There was talk earlier on that this might not be a good monsoon season.
