    The left side of politics is aghast the right side say not enough me its ok give him time to think about what he had planned.

    Other countries in the world apparently view australians as bunch of rednecks and islamphobes because of decision, maybe im brain dead but a common sense jail term.

      Easier to me actually would have been let him go to syria and fight if its his beleif but one way ticket dont return buddy and way cheaper than keeping him in jail for 17 years.

        Why does it seem unlikely that after even 13 years mandatory it is doubtful that this Islamist will have changed his thinking? Unless he changes his religion?

          Would be better if it was 70 years for the jihadi but 17 should decrease a few terror incidents in the world.

          The Trudeau government might actually just counsel him and pay him $10.5 million just like Omar Kadr.
