      Interesting factoid.....steel and aluminum companies don't have to worry about the weather for their handouts.....

        provincial crop reports will likely look a these maps as comment about the benefit of early harvest and potential for excellent grades. They will overlook the fact that areas that typically get 10-15" rain only at 3-5", and zero subsoil reserves, and much warmer and windy all season long.

          I drove through Alberta and sask. The NDVI is seem inaccurate.

            NDVI picks up green...

            Droughts cause plants to concentrate nitrogen, which makes them that bluish green and throws NDVI off... If it starts to turn red that means the ground is showing, or everything is burnt up.

            The speed it's changing vs. last year or two years ago is showing great plant stress.

            Also, there's a delay between generation and data recording.
