End of week Thursday Report!

SASKFARMER3's Avatar Mar 8, 2018 | 06:29 1 Well the wings are flapping and doing last min things before the goose heads north.

Put lots of miles this winter on the Yukon down here, looked at hundreds of homes, condos etc. Beach front awesome but ouch. Close to cities, in big cities and small towns. Gated and non gated. Pool vs going to community pool.

One thing is certain we love Florida and it will be our winter home.

Now since I’m only a little piss ant not like our PM who has a trust fund and plays every day I have to watch how much I’ll spend down here.

Well Trudeau didn’t let us down this week as a Country without a Stupid comment.

“We’re all born scientists I guess”.

Plus what does Sophie think she’s a First Lady like the USA has. We voted for your husband not you so sorry quit pretending your our princess.

Federal Budget wow what the hell is this a challenge to run up more debt than any government in the world in one term.

Liberals do us all a favour wake up and drop this fool before we have nothing left in Canada.

Quebec, Ontario and BC wake up.

Sask elected a New NDP Leader. Can’t believe the once great NDP has lists its way and needs a reset. Will he even win his seat. Bring on a carbon tax because getting 67 million back after paying Billions is ok.

New math again.

Trip home heading to Dallas then up through Oklahoma, Kansas and Iowa then SD and ND and home. Let’s see how dry it is. Plus it’s snowing north of Nashville and I hate snow.

Keep safe have a great week. Power ball is 388 million tonight maybe this is the home after.

Sugar cane farming is awesome down here.

As soon as a field is harvested it’s worked and reseeded and on the cycle goes. Field every day getting either harvested or seeded.

Mar 8, 2018 | 08:27 6 Green with envy. Florida is a beautiful place and I fully understand snow birding if you can swing it. Over a million Canadians in Florida during February. Even see trailer parks in central areas flying the Canadian flag down there. -25 here the last three mornings in a row some 10 degrees below average. If we stay 10 below average, ag will change. That is climate change to be concerned about. Reply With Quote
SASKFARMER3's Avatar Mar 8, 2018 | 08:49 7 I’m surprised a lot less from Quebec and more from Nova Scotia and Newfoundland plus Ontario and then Quebec. None from sask in most places. 20 Min to big mouse and 1 hr to either Atlantic beach or gulf and 12 min to flea market and 30 min to casino he’ll its retirement central. Reply With Quote

Mar 8, 2018 | 10:05 11 Plenty of Quebecers there when we were there 7-8 years ago. Gotta spend the transfer payments some where. If you go to Florida or Mexico, you talk to more fellow Canadian and some are from the same area as you, as you will in 10 years back at home. Western Canuckistan is one of the most isolated places on earth especially in winter. Wonder if Mallee finds that in his area of OZ.

Florida has most things you can take a cruise any day week. Go to any theme park, golf, rich rich homes to condos to hotels.

Weather this year was totally hot February but March is normal 67 to 82 average 74.

Shopping for wife everything. RB auction for guys like me.

Ocean west or East about a hour and 16 from middle.

Traffic is busy close to Disney and universal areas but accidents slow it down. 80 to 65 drive to slow they ticket you. Break down on freeway phone a 411 number and a guy comes. Traffic moves nice. Get a sun pass so easy.

Flashing light vehicle you move over one lane don’t slow down.

Fuel $2.39 a gal.

Hopefully $1 beers aren't my incentive at that time haha.
Remember $1 beers when I combined stateside in 85.

SASKFARMER3's Avatar Mar 8, 2018 | 16:00 17 It is totally awesome in Hawaii and that’s why we’re keeping the time share condo we have their. Two weeks two bedroom.

Texas I spent a little time not interested for winter. Phoenix area my folks lived their for 22 years and my wife’s 30 so we know that area since it was a small city to now. No ocean!

So that’s why Florida is winning still haven’t signed the check.

Walmart sams club sells shell oil in bulk.

Cheese is always cheap that’s why we have supply management for farmers in canada. But screw the rest of us farmers so one group gets ahead. Reply With Quote
Mar 8, 2018 | 16:04 18 USA is a great country with a very high quality of living. I would probably never move there though prefer Canada. Have you checked out Argentina? I heard it is a great country cheese is 80 pesos per lb there or $4usd/lb

This January we flew from Bismarck to Orlanda, rented a car a drove down to Key West, then drove to Miami to catch plane to Nassau, headed to Atlantis, Paradise Island. Paradise Island is my "big apple". We attended a wedding in Maui in November, but always gravitate back to Mesa and Las Vegas. There is a retirement community in Mesa called Leisure World and one in Vegas called Spanish Trails Country Club. We will probably buy in one of those. Not for a couple of years though. We have committments here and can't leave for more than a week or so. Reply With Quote
SASKFARMER3's Avatar Mar 9, 2018 | 05:24 22 Ah leisure world. Ah I remember from when my folks winterd down their.

Atlantis is hop step jump or $199 a person three night cruise.
