    OWPMB Exemption Certs...GONE!

    Eatmorewheat;

    Did you see this?

    Wheat Exemption Application – 2004 Crop – NO LONGER REQUIRED

    NOTICE TO ALL DIRECT MARKET BUYERS OF WHEAT

    Re: 2004 Exemption Certificates

    GUELPH, Ontario.

    At a recent Board meeting of the Ontario Wheat Producers' Marketing Board (OWPMB), there was discussion with regards to Exemption Certificates for 2004. Pertaining to the ongoing discussions, the Board passed the following motion at its December 17, 2003 meeting.

    “That the Local Board, with respect to exemption certificates, agree to have every producer with a license to produce wheat and who markets this wheat through the Board or Direct Markets, and with respect of whom we receive a report and payment of license fees is deemed to hold a license to market their own wheat with the exception of farmer to farmer sales, commencing 2004 crop year.”

    If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Dana Omland, Marketing Manager.

    This now is a true market with "Marketing Choice" like the Alberta Gov. is seeking Charlie?

    Tom:

    I had heard rumblings, but it is good to see that the cert is officially not required. It really was just nuisance paperwork that most ignored anyways.

    Now if we can only start the ball rolling in the west on CHOICE. Those that want to still farm as communists, can set up their own pool and continue to observe their own decline.

    Someday a book and/or a film will be made about the disgraceful way the western wheat and barley farmer was treated by the federal government.

    Free wheat in the west.
