    Hmmm...the peasants aren't happy!

The people of the city of Red Deer don't seem to be too enthused by the new budget that proposes at 13.5% tax increase! It looks like the "peasants" are massing around the manor with pitchforks and sythes at the ready!
It seems they also are not too keen on borrowing $300 million to build some more white elephants for the elected nabobs!
And of course you have to have some lawyer come out with the old "Its all the county of Red Deers fault"! And then his solution...we'll steal all the county industrial developement! Yep...typical lawyer solution! LOL
The sad thing is even with theft the problem will still be there...very poor government!
I suspect the "elected elite" will have to play some pretty dirty pool this election year...if they stand a hope of staying on the government tit?
I wonder if this is how all governments operate? Provincial? Federal?...just on a bigger scale?

Minister Danyluk will have several of these rural/urban conflicts on his plate to deal with before long. There has got to be a better way to spend tax dollars than to continually scrap with neighbouring municipalities.
