    Question of the day

Did you's hear the question of the day that the CBC Nationial is asking?
Should Canada's cow herd be slaughters by half to save the cattle industry in Canada?
They also read a letter from a person in Quebec that said All imports on Beef from Japan should be banned. Oh well she didn't know at least she took the time to write the letter. ABC's.

You guy's are right If they would just stop the import of beef, the canadian beef industry would be saved.

Sometimes a media frenzie is what it takes. This would easily be done. There's a little rumour cirrculating about a media attented cow shoot. Everyone has a cow or two that should have been shipped in the last 6 weeks and euthenizing them looks like the only avenue now.Guns cows and a big pit-- holy cow batman, the tv world would come unglued.

The media and a few politicians are talking slaughter. I think we should not be even discussing such a thing in Canada. For gosh sakes the border has not been closed forever.

Given some time the governments of the world will settle down and open the doors again. The one thing we as Canadians need to stop doing is insulting the Americains. Stop name calling the president and insulting the people of that country.

The United States is like our big brother, we may not like him at times but when you need him you better not keep bugging him. Much of what we sell goes through the Americain system, they will soon be wanting our beef for their feedlots then you will see movement at the border, maybe it won't be soon but it will come. Canada is being paid back for actions we have done to other country's whether you agreed with them or not.

I can't believe how pathetic Vanclief actually is. He is now saying that not to worry..the border will be open in September. He is leaving all of the negotiating with the Japanese up to the Americans. Isn't it sad when we can't even solve our own problems?

Some limited slaughter is probably the best thing we can do now. American consumers are already being gouged at the supermarket, if they look north and see cattle being buried or burned while the US government bends over for the Japanese and the average American pays more for beef, the border would be open again in a week.

The only people looking north will be the ones along the Canada-US boarder because the rest on US don't even no what is going on in Canada. And I don't think they even care one way or another.
