We've lost lambs in may to dehydration
on hot windy day only to lose fifty more
when a snowstorm blew in the following
day. Our lambing is going fine with the
mature ewes right close to two live
lambs average and the yearlings are
started now and more twins than we were
expecting. One set of trips and she's
raising two. Good for a yearling.

Sounds like your lambing is going well!
Yeah, a fellow can't win with weather. Be
it grain or stock, there are challenges,
      hey?

We've got about ten days to go. We do have a good barn though, and it looks like we're going to need it. Lambing pens will be built on the weekend, and we'll move them closer as well.

We got a foot of snow on top of all my nice (dry) prepared lambing area and that inspired my ewes to start pumping out lambs two days before they are due. Three sets of nice twins in the last 24 hrs.
