i understand im generalizing and its a difficult question but aussie prices vs canadian

yearling steers 330-400 kg $1.59 per kg or $560-700 per head
yearling hiefers 330-400 $1.46 p/kg or $480 to 590 per head

cows 400-530 kg $1.23 kg $540-650 per head

20 to 22 kg lamb $2.64 per kg $66 to 76 per head

our dollar is about 89 cents US all prices quoted are an average of saleyard auctions

Are the prices you give for older cows to be slaughered for ground beef or for better bred cows? It is a very good price if it is for ground beef.

Here the cows are bringing 1/3-1/2 the value of 8 month old calves.
