    Harvest Songs

    Time for a fun topic.

Whats everybody's favorite song on the radio these days? You know the kind that has you turning off the CB and cranking up the volume when you hear it.

For me right now its the new James Blunt song '1973'. Great lyric and melody that has me drifting down memory lane to a lot of really fun saturday nights.

Old AC DC always does it for me as well. Like 'A long way to the top', great Bon Scott vocals and of all things a bag pipe solo in the middle of it. Great tune.

    Franny,

My favorite is the Last Sask. Pirate by Captain Tractor, off the East of Edson CD!

The Arrogant Worms wrote it... it is a "Designated Area" classic! Good Jig to it! In 2000 our local 4H Beef Club did a skit to it at the July Finals in Northlands in Edmonton... it did my soul well!

While you are on Youtube here's another one from the "designated area"

          Corb Lund Band

OK video but I have driven my Chevy Sprint through more mud than they filmed these trucks in.

Good post, Tom, fits Vader to a tee.

I take Sirius with me, especially like The Jay Thomas show, Lighten Up with Richard Simmons & Jane Radio with Jane Pratt. Roadhouse plays the music I like.

            Ditto the cordless impact.

A couple of years ago I just about broke my pinky finger on the steering wheel of the combine doing air guitar to "Over the Hills and Far Away" by Led Zeppelin

"Poor Old Broken Hearted Me" by the Trews, after the July 31 court decision.

My current fav is "I Don't Want to Stop" by Ozzy Ozbourne

Here are the Lyrics, they really fit in with my feelings about my fight for marketing freedom

don't know what they're talking about
                  I'm making my own decisions
                  This thing that I found
                  Ain't gonna bring me down
I'm like a junkie without an addiction

                  Mama don't cry
                  I just wanna say hi
Like playing with danger or fear
                  Everybody's walking but nobody's talking
It looks a lot better from here

All my life I've been over the top
                  I don't know what I'm doing,
All I know is I don't wanna stop
All fired up, I'm gonna go to the top
I'm as real as the world will make me
                  I don't wanna stop

Why don't they ever listen to me?
                  Is this a one-way conversation?
Nothing they say is gonna set me free
Don't need to make no reservations

To make me religious for only one god
                  I don't need another saviour
Don't try to change my mind
You know I'm one of a kind
Ain't gonna change my bad behaviour

All my life I've been over the top
                  I don't know what I'm doing,
All I know is I don't wanna stop
All fired up, I'm gonna go to the top
I'm as real as the world will make me
                  I don't wanna stop

Forgot about that one A.S., it is a good one.

There's a line in the new Scorpions song 'Humanity' that reminds me of my permit book.

Just a drop in the rain
                    A number without a name...

Just wondering;the ideas behind Hank jr"country boy can survive"are exactly why we are going to survive the pasty, pansy, soft and inept weaklings at the CWB.

They are staffed by lefty urbanites and ex farm kids who couldn't handle it.Or proved they couldn't run a business.

We'll survive them all right. They're afraid of us.

Notice how they would never hold a meeting unless it was in the Bastille?
