    Quinclorac

Anyone use/using herbicide with the active ingredient quinclorac? ie. Clever. Read some information stating that Cargill is no longer accepting grain treated with this active.

Richardsons won't take grain treated with it either.

Bottom line is DON'T use it. Any grain found with residues outside Canada could cause a non tariff trade barrier.

Don't use it else you'll have a marketing issue.

Also don't use Manipulator on your cereals.

Sure won't need manipulator around here this year.

        ;-)

Is it really a MRL issue with it the Quinclorac?

Don't screw it up for everybody by using Quinclorac! From Canola Council: http://www.canolacouncil.org/crop-production/keep-it-clean/

          Unregistered Pesticides
DO NOT USE UNREGISTERED PESTICIDES OR THOSE WITH UNACCEPTABLE RESIDUES
All herbicides, insecticides and fungicides must be registered for use on canola by the Pest Management Regulatory Agency before using the product in Canada. In some cases, a pesticide is registered in Canada without a maximum residue limit (MRL) established in our major export markets. This means that canola treated with these pesticides may not be in compliance with the requirements of the importing country. The following pesticides are not recommended for use on canola:

          FUNGICIDE Ronilan
Canola tolerances for vinclozolin (the active ingredient in Ronilan) are no longer in place for the United States. Any canola treated with Ronilan is no longer acceptable for shipment to the United States.
          HERBICIDE Venture L and Fusion
Fluazifop-p-butyl is the active ingredient of grass herbicides Venture L and a component of Fusion. The United States has no tolerance levels established for fluazifop residues in canola seeds.
          HERBICIDE Accord and Clever
Applying quinclorac, the active ingredient in Accord and Clever, to canola may result in residues that are not acceptable in key export markets such as Japan.

I called about Clever a couple weeks back and was told they expect approval by harvest but even without export approval it can still go to a crusher? I used it on a 20 acre piece thats been problematic to see what happens with fababeans later. Definately bin it seperately.

I am guessing 50% of the canola in this area has clever on it . We bailed on using some after first alerts came out in early June that it was not going to be as accepted as was being told

ADM is accepting clever sprayed. How clever of them while the rest run away like little scared chickens.

Did ADM just reverse there position ? An email sent out 2 weeks ago from ADM said no .
There still seems to be a lot of confusion on this from everyone

For ones that don't like quinclorac,I presume they prefer the cleavers instead?

Add 2 gal of ams to liberty. No more cleavers and spray at 15 gal an acre.
