Final Push to the Finish line!

Well it's the May long week end and years ago this is the time we usually were either close to done or just finishing up. Well this year will be the final push to hopefully get the 2015 crop in e ground.
This morning is a challenge as last night was very very cold. Yes it got the Saskatoon blossoms so will be very poor Saskatoon berry picking.
But the good news for farmers one more cool night and then a great forecast till next Sunday.
Canola by late today if it's up will show damage, if growing centre point is green it should make it. Frost areas might be in part of field or on one side of a lower area or most of a field. It's early for some areas to reseed but others maybe a wheat oats or barley.
Now spraying the next two days might not be a good choice as after last night weeds are in a hold process.
Crop insurance will field lots of calls on Tuesday. But don't expect some knee to give you the reseed go ahead for days. Actually by mid week most will see the damage when the heat returns.
Lots of crop seeded all way north from Regina to Kamsack.
Funny burn was the choice of many this year in eastern sask. Be safe as we push for the finish. Remember traveling on our roads today with equipment as city drivers don't understand big equipment.
