    CWB web site change!

    Thalpenny;

    I see the Webmasters at the CWB have taken one spin out of the new website!

    NOW, the new first paragraph removed the word "all" before wheat and barley...

    "The Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) is a farmer-controlled organization that markets the wheat and barley grown by western Canadian producers. Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the CWB is the largest single seller of wheat and barley in the world, holding more than 20 per cent of the international market."

    THIS newest statement still lacks credibility and accuracy Thalpenny!

    Can't your spin doctors, be honest for one second, and admit the crop is very poor, that you certainly market less than 20% of the trade in international wheat and barley sales, and that you only market domestic human consumption, plus exported wheat and barley that is grown in the "designated area" part of Canada only!

    Thalpenny;

    One point of a possible 5!

    I see another change today!

    "The Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) is a farmer-controlled organization that markets wheat and barley grown by western Canadian producers. Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the CWB is the largest single seller of wheat and barley in the world, holding more than 20 per cent of the international market."

    From; "that markets all the wheat and barley grown"

    To; "that markets the wheat and barley grown"

    Now To: "that markets wheat and barley grown"

    This is a good lesson about CWB legislation...

    It is simply amazing how much difference one "the" can make to the meaning of a phrase, in real legal terms!

      thalpenny,

      This is what the CWB site states:

      "All sales revenue, less the costs of marketing, is returned to western Canadian farmers."

      This is not true.

      Please change it to the following to make it true:

      "All sales revenue, less the costs of marketing,and less the costs of licensing is returned to western Canadian farmers."
