    A Further Article On Fracking

Every landowner in Alberta should view this article. We have it right at the top on our own website (www.albertasurfacerights.com)
Our group is in no way anti-industry... but we do expect industry to operate in a safe and accountable manner....and we really expect our government to have sensible regulations in place to protect our water! Alberta Environment and the government regulator, the ERCB, need to do their job!
Let's get this Fracking thing right before we rush into it like a cattle stampede?

Read your posting on hydro fracking, excellant coverage. Have pulled a copy of your membership application, hope to talk to ranchers in my area to get involved, thank God someone is speaking up as the prov. government has not been listening to our concerns. If you can trust the ERCB who are on road promoting fracking ,continue to lobby for the oil and gas industry with the old theme "don't worry be happy"

        Thanks for your support.
Just a brief plug for our group.
We represent about 1400 members. Our group formed in January 2010 from an amalgamation of the Pine Lake Surface Rights Action Group, Red Raven Landowners Group, and the United Landowners of Alberta.
We have a close relationship with other groups within the province, especially in the foothills south of Calgary. We have members from Spirit River to Milk River.
Our goal is not to take over other groups, but rather to build alliances with them and co-operate for our mutual interests. There are some very good groups out there who have fallen dormant....and we try to network with them and get them up and active again!
It is our belief the present alliance between government and industry is not healthy for our private property rights and we need to present a united voice to make it very clear we are sick of being treated like a bunch of dumb peasants!

ASRG would it be possible to get all the groups you refer to at the same table prior to the public form meetings to develop a common front. Travelled north on hwy 21 near Trochu this morning an notice you have put up a trailer with excellant slogans about fracking, well done.

We were kind of holding off on announcing the trailer "Fracking" banner on Highway 21, until after the new year. We will be holding a press conference in January announcing our campaign for better regulation of the hydro fracking industry. At the same time expect an announcement of our support for the lady who is taking the government and Encana to court over her water well.
We feel she is going to bat for all of us....and she's going to need some help.

One more thing forage. We talked today about trying to get together with the WSGA, Pekisko, Livingston group some time before the public meetings in January. It should be in the works by tonight.
