    Prairie Coast Equipment

Ok ya this should be in the machinery section but
it's a dead heading. And ya I know who needs
machinery anyway the cows can do it all
    themselves but here goes...

Prairie Coast equipment bought our local
dealership a few years back and since then
inventory (new and used) has fallen to zero
(excluding the 300 pieces of lawn and garden) All
summer La Crete has had like 1 or 2 farm units?
And the last month or so nothing, zero. So last
week I take a trip to Grande Prairie and stop at
their Fairview dealership and find what looks to
be the same thing going on like maybe 12 units
total, about 1/3 to a 1/4 of what they had a
    couple years ago.

This past summer after a couple years of asking
my area's salesmen to get me a Vermeer hyd
drive rake I hit the road looking elsewhere, and I
don't like doing that...I beleave in supporting my
local dealer. I have bought over 15 pieces of
equipment from them over the years, I call I get
great service, everytime, now they fired my sales
guy and the 1 large equipment salesmen left is
trying to sell everything out of a book or from a
picture off the Internet. What a joke, I will not
support Prairie Coast if they don't carry inventory.
O ya i found the rake I wanted this summer at
Prairie Coast in Grande Prairie. They had 5 or 6
new ones and 1 used. I took the used....if they
would have moved a new to the lot in La Crete
that is what would be in my yard now! Guess Its
    Rbauction.com for me.

Same thing is going on with our local dealership, except it's been bought up by Rocky Mountain Equipment. It's a real crap shoot whether they will have parts or not. We had to drive a hundred miles to get a part for the haybine this summer, because that's how far we had to go to find a dealership that they didn't own. Their equipment lot is also much emptier than it's ever been.

Is bigger better? For investors maybe. For customers? I haven't seen it.

      want $2492 for 1 roller??

Ya PCGP lost their oldest saleman too. Lots of unrest inhouse. A local Hutt said management won't even chat with them anymore

Equipment salesmen who ignore the buying power of the brethren do so at their own peril.
