    Flood season is upon us.

Looks like the neighbours aren't getting home tonight.

To put this in perspective, the culvert is about 8 to 10 feet in diameter, and the normal level of the creek right here is between 15 and 20 feet below the road. And the neighbours live on the other side of it, with no other road in or out.

It's going to be interesting to see if the road is still there tomorrow.

The snow is going fast. Just like the water! LOL

This bit of road washed out a few years back, and it was pretty spectacular. The culvert travelled about a quarter of a mile down the creek, around a corner and under the railway tracks, and landed so deep in the bush in our pasture that they needed a backhoe to reach it. Then a wall of water headed east and took out the town campground five miles away. They had to evacuate a bunch of campers, and where they had been sitting was under four feet of water a half hour later.

And the next day it was gone.

        Oh the joys of spring!
