    Prairie Snow Storm

Here in east central Alta we are getting a doozy of a storm today. Blowing snow with winds over 40 km, vis from 100 ft to 100 yards all day with temps around -12. Its a bit of a tester for the cattle folk. Hope you are all OK and tomorrow is better. HT

Here in northern Alberta it was nice....no wind sunny and about - 18 all day...for January thats a gooder. Lets make this the first winter with no -40

Full meal deal blizzard going on south of Calgary. A line of pickups are stuck in the middle of the road a mile down the road. None of us can get there from either side. They are in a house that is for sale camping out. A good night to stay home. Cows are not likely impressed. Morning is going to be entertaining.

Looking pretty tough here too after the wind got up - forecast is for much the same tomorrow. I always think it's better to get the winter in the winter rather than in the spring or early summer though ;o)

You guys made me jump to the weather network pretty fast! They're calling for minus 14 with a 5km wind today. Whew! We're making up for that good luck by the bad luck of a Hubby with the flu.

          Wanna trade?

Kato...it sounds like your timing is right on. It has cleared up some here but is still drifting with about a 35 km/hr breeze and -15c. We've got a lot of digging out to do. Still want to trade? HT
