    Terry Boehm Re-Elected NFU President.

    TERRY BOEHM RE-ELECTED NFU PRESIDENT AT 41st NATIONAL CONVENTION



    Saskatoon, Sask. - Terry Boehm of Allan, Saskatchewan was re-elected President of the National Farmers Union (NFU) at its 41st annual national convention in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan last week. Boehm faced electoral challenge from Michael Schmidt of Durham, Ontario. Boehm had served one-year as NFU President, after serving for several years as Vice-President.



    Colleen Ross of Iroquois, Ontario was acclaimed as NFU 1st Vice-President (Policy).



    Don Mills of Granton, Ontario remains the NFU 2nd Vice-President (Operations).



    Joan Brady of Dashwood, Ontario remains the NFU Women’s President.



    Kathleen Charpentier remains the NFU Women’s Vice-President.



    Cammie Harbottle of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia is the new NFU Youth President. Harbottle was acclaimed to the position.



    Paul Slomp of Ottawa, Ontario was elected NFU Youth Vice-President in an electoral contest against Coral Sproule of Perth, Ontario.



    The NFU would like to thank Kalissa Regier of Laird, Saskatchewan and Dave Lewington of Lavigne, Ontario who served as Youth President and 1st Vice-President respectively over the past year. The NFU is very grateful of the hard work and dedication they each demonstrated while serving in these positions. The NFU looks forward to their future contributions to the NFU cause as members of the organization.



    The NFU was founded in 1969. It is a non-partisan, democratic, direct-membership family farm organization. It is the only farm organization in Canada incorporated under a Special Act of Parliament.

      Amazing that they have so many of their executive
      coming from Ontario, when they're irrelevent as an
      organization in Ontario.
