I find a liter in spring does a good job. I think it's hard to kill in fall after its headed out and the spray can't reach the weak foliage because of the mature fuzzy heads. What about Olympus?

      Glyphosate.

Native to North America. Need to learn to live with it.

      I think SK3 gave Olympus a try

It can be a problem in alkaline soil.
Crappy to feed to livestock, lumpjaw risk.

The magical implement caller the " cultivator " can also kill foxtail, with very nice results.

Olympus works excellent with roundup when seeding wheat. How about horsetail

Best thing to do is treat the soil with gypsum about 400# an acre and it will disappear

Assure 2 at 40 acres/case plus a litre equivalent of glyphosate is the cure for foxtail. Olympus worked ok last year added on to fore mentioned.

Yes if you have a fall, you can do lots of
                          Things.
Horse tail . With Rdp. Canola
Just keep hitting it. With glyphosate. 3 or 4 times.
Have wheat there this year, I will try prestige.

Was amazed, on the beach in LA , multi million
Beach front property, had 3 foot high horsetail as a hedge

Scouring rush and horsetail, 12oz MCPA and 2 liters rup smokes it pretty decent. Didn't get it all but stopped it good enough to say it works. Just spot spray.
