Chuck et all :: please watch this
For some of you that have been beating this drum , well it’s time to think for yourself .
This is one of many many examples that your gospel is being torn to sheds ... from a knuckle dragging flat earther lol.
Hard to believe a lot of smart people have not seen this hoax from day one ... hopefully sooner than later the light 💡 will come on .
Funny how there has been very little response to some of these informative posts , including some of the videos I posted a month ago on climate forcing. Silence is deafening lol.

..i don't think it was a hoax from day one. i mean it's undeniable that co2 levels were rising
.. governments were concerned for obvious reasons,
...governments needed certainty to act so certainty is provided even tho not warranted ....then a system is devised to tax...at this point they cannot back up all they can do is go forward
this is not a healthy environment for science

Ross Mckitrick is a well known climate change skeptic and activist with strong connections to several right wing conservative organizations. He is an economist not a climate scientist.

He is using the big tobacco playbook to cast doubt on the science of human caused climate change and regularly speaks and writes for organizations that receive funding and sponsorship from big oil.

Everything he says should be viewed with his political connections in mind.

You can see a description of activities at

                https://www.desmogblog.com/ross-mckitrick

                Affiliations

Fraser Institute — “Senior Fellow.” and contributor. [40], [3]

                George C. Marshall Institute — “Expert.” [41]

Cooler Heads Coalition — Helped publicize McKitrick's book, Taken By Storm. [35]

Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) — Promoted Taken By Storm. [35]

Interfaith Stewardship Alliance (now The Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation) — Co-author of “A Call to Truth, Prudence and the Protection of the Poor: An Evangelical Response to Global Warming.” [31]

The Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF) — Member, “Academic Advisory Council” as of March, 2010. GWPF describes him as “instrumental in exposing the fatal flaws of the so-called Hockey Stick.” [42]

Ross Mckitrick spoke at several Heartland Institute Conferences

Heartland Institute's 2009 Climate Conference in New York: funding history of the sponsors

Our research into the listed “sponsors” for the Heartland Institute’s upcoming “International Conference on Climate Change” finds that these organizations have received over $47 million from energy companies and right-wing foundations, with 78% of that total coming from the Scaife Family of foundations.

According to the Media Transparency project the Scaife Family of Foundations is, “financed by the Mellon industrial, oil and banking fortune. At one time its largest single holding was stock in the Gulf Oil Corporation. Became active in funding conservative causes in 1973, when Richard Mellon Scaife became chairman of the foundation. According to a recent article, ‘In 1993, the Carthage and Sarah Scaife Foundations…gave more than $17.6 million to 150 conservative think tanks.’”

                Here’s the breakdown:

                ExxonMobil (1998-2006): $6,199,000
                Koch Foundations (1986-2006): $4,438,920
                Scaife Foundations (1985-2006): $36,868,640

                Grand Total: $47,506,560

Thanks Chuck, you have attacked the messenger, now can you please discredit the message and the science?

Because by your logic, if a conservative cures cancer, we should ignore it.

So, it's OK then if I question and verify all sources?
There's as much money for as against.
Maybe the good thing about the Greta's is that more people feel it's gone overboard and cool off a little. Pun intended.

Anyone willing to take the bet that Greta's 15 minutes of fame marks the high point of the movement?

                              sadly i'd take that bet.
..to me it looks like their strategy is to increase the agitation/violence to polarize people..
